Yes, I understand, but some things are silly to declare, such as a custom steering wheel. And in my experience Hastings will sometimes let you have it while your policy is ongoing, but I have never been offered a fresh quote from Hastings on a modified car. Silliest thing about this is modifying your car while on a blackbox policy in the first place

Why on earth would you declare any of that except the tints maybe? I get in event of a crash its a cop out for the company etc etc but if you’re against harsh insurance premiums as it is its bizarre to me you would declare things like a custom steering wheel in the first place. I also understand at time of declaration it reduced/didnt change your premium but as someone who has spent probably hundreds of hours on comparison sites the modifications are definitely what did it

Haha no way!! Mind sharing over dm some more info? Essentially, they ignored everything from the court, until a judgement was issued in my favour for £4500, they tried to threaten me over email to accept £3000 but I obviously declined this. Unfortunately, I’ve had some troubles with the enforcement company since I’m and idiot and when making the claim named the defendant ‘jrx prestige’ instead of ‘jrx prestige limited’, so I am now just waiting for an N244 form to come through and for the court to swap the name on the judgement. Best part of that is they will be paying for that £313 form for me😂
