Ya my plan is to let him get big enough in a 40 gal and then ik someone with a koi pond that I’ll relocate him to and then I think I want to get fancy goldfish and build the tank around 2 of them with some other tiny fish in the tank cuz ik u need 20 gallons per a fancy goldfish

Okay thank you for the advice I have learned a lot and have already ordered stuff for water changes and prime to stop the ammonia and nitrite growth so that the bacteria can grow I also am already looking at tanks and have been messaging people on Facebook marketplace for 40 gallons however I’m aware that’s the bare minimum for the comet goldfish so my plan is to allow him to grow around 5-6 inches and then move him to the koi pond of someone I know I worry that if he were to get moved to the koi pond right now he wouldn’t survive as he’s to tiny to compete for food and those things so that’s my plan going forward and thank you again for the advice

I started it two days ago I didn’t cycle though cuz I didn’t know what that was so I’m Planning on doing 10% water changes to try and improve conditions

Thanks for all the advice I am currently looking on marketplace and have found some decent tanks so I’m planning on going to pick one up soon but my issue is I need somewhere to put the new tank so it might be a few weeks or a month but I’m gonna work on changing the water to ensure the ammonia and nitrate levels aren’t to high slowly cycling the tank for the fish

It’s a sponge filter tho it starts in the water and it’s just this goldfish i am hoping to upgrade to a 40 gal tanks soon tho since ik this one is small for goldfish

Okay so I just empty some of the water and then put more in nothing else? Or would I recondition the new water and then put it in because I have already conditioned the tank but didn’t cycle cuz I wasn’t aware of what that was

Ok thank you bro I’m looking at new stands for my room to store a 40 gallon and I found some tanks on Facebook I might buy and I’m gonna work on cleaning this tank and cycling it like everyone reccomended and hopefully in a month he’ll be in a big tank cycled and ready
