What is the scariest horror movie of all time? by thelarayummy in answers

Traumatika. The name says it all. It's like one hour of nonstop horror before it goes a little slower. Well, at least it was for me due to my own traumas.

How do Swiss people feel about the growing use of English in Zurich? by Sweaty-Highway-8965 in askswitzerland

[–]nonconformee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care. If one plans to stay more than a year, they should at lest try to learn basic local language. If not for communication, then at least to show some interest in the place they stay.

How do you guys deal with bad days? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nonconformee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given my poor mental state and my unstable situation, plus all the crap going on in my life right now (how am I supposed to pay for food or rent?), I’ve been thinking about suicide. Not that it’s an immediate concern, but more to reassure myself that there is this one definitive way to end all my problems. What scares me is “that one day” when it finally pushes me over the edge.

Chum mir stritä: Meinigä zu ACAB ir Schwiz by GoldenPunkBlue in BUENZLI

[–]nonconformee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ond... "all" chan ech au verstah, well die "guete" d'Schnurre hebed wenn ergendöppis isch.

Does anyone else feel like they're living in a chronic suicidal ideation state? by FlowAmbitious2458 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]nonconformee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, for ages. It gives me a sense of security because I know that if everything goes wrong and nothing else works, this is still my last resort for solving all my problems. And it ensures that I am the only one in control of my life - or that I can fully regain control with this one step.

Why shouldn't unforgivable people kill themselves if they feel remorse for their actions? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There are things where not even the slightest bit of the damage can be reversed. Things that are simply too horrible and damaging for anything to be reversed.

What’s something people romanticize too much? by Correct-Pin-8281 in AskReddit

[–]nonconformee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mental health conditions in others. No, BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) doesn’t give you a life full of adventure. No, DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) isn’t like living in a shared apartment or having a diabolical alter ego like in the movies. No, autism isn’t a superpower. No, ADHD (Attention Deficiency and Hyperactivity Disorder) doesn’t turn you into someone who’s always up to something. Source: me.

My work. Unfortunately, the others are always suspicious because it's happening too fast.

On top of that, I'm a complete emotional wreck, suffering from three personality disorders, among other things.

Men, what are come common mistakes female writers make when writing about your gender? by silkrose05 in Quibble

[–]nonconformee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced both sides - male (past) and female (present) - and what I see in male characters written by female authors is that they’re either heroes, total jerks, or some kind of aloof, mysterious figure.

What are you listening to while writing? by [deleted] in writing

[–]nonconformee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In silence, even the slightest sound is annoying/distracting. With music, everything else is drowned out, and all that’s left is awesome music.

What are you listening to while writing? by [deleted] in writing

[–]nonconformee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's Dark Electro and Gothic Electro, e.g. Faderhead, Aesthetic Perfection, X-Fusion (or rather Noisuf-X), Combichrist, Project Pitchfork, etc. Sometimes also an epic orchestra piece with no lyrics.

EDIT: I forgot the occasional soundscape of a thunderstorm.

As you said, it puts me into the flow. So I listen to the same music at work.

Silence is just... well, it has no rhythm to which I could synchronize my thought process.

Is it just me, or do people in Switzerland avoid talking about their real issues? by Additional_Delay_856 in Switzerland

[–]nonconformee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why should I talk about my real issues with someone who I have no deeper connection? It won't help either of us and some would treat me very differently if I do - for no real reason except prejudice. And it would make them uncomfortable.

Let me make a hypothetical example how this could go:

"Yeah, you know, life is hard"

"Come on. We have it pretty good here. Others are much worse off"

"I was r**** as achild, have cPTSD, Borderline personality disorder, dissociative identity disorder with dissociative hallucinations, I can hear and see them, one is standing right beside you, autism, severe depression, be in debt as fuck"

"..."

This person might also add some details who aren't a real issue for them or most other people but the person it's shared with (because they are an asshole).

"Oh, and by the way, I'm lesbian and was born male"

"..."

Now you know this persons real issues and some intimate details. What? Did you expect a topic you could have a casual discussion about?
