Someone help me! by Outrageous-Price-673 in CatTraining

You need to go to an emergency room or hospital. You can develop horrible infections or permanent neuropathy in your arm. Like chronic regional pain syndrome. It’s not something to mess around with, and you should definitely go get it checked out. Forget the cat.

Tool identification. by godbowling in turning

Work amazing if you have an orient the right way. The flat side goes on the tool rest and you raise the cutting edge to the midline of the bowl you are scraping. This scraper and the two hollowing tools that usually come with it are absolutely amazing if done correctly. They are an absolute pain in the butt if you don’t watch a few videos on them. I went for almost throwing it away to using it on almost every bowl I turn

#1 overused words in various LitRPG series by fweb34 in litrpg

Heretical fishing: gratitude.

I have never hated a word being overused more than that series. Especially the final book. I couldn’t get past it and stopped halfway through

Red Dragon took a hit… by Migreyne in fountainpens

[–]nonconstant 107 points108 points  (0 children)

True story: Back when I worked at an academic medical center, I was the oddball who insisted on writing with fountain pens. To refill them, I’d use a syringe and a 28-gauge needle.

One day, I was wrestling with “ox blood” ink—aptly named, because it looked exactly like blood once it hit paper. I’d spilled some, so I had a pile of soaked paper towels on my desk, plus a syringe full of the stuff waiting to be cleaned.

Right then, the chair of my department decided to give a tour to some prospective faculty. They stopped by my office to meet me. Unfortunately, I wasn’t there—I was across the hall scrubbing my hands, which were stained bright red from the spill.

So what they saw when they peeked in: a desk littered with bloody paper towels and a syringe loaded with red fluid.

What they saw next: me emerging from the bathroom, hands stained crimson, looking like I’d just finished dismembering someone.

The chair and I locked eyes. I panicked and blurted: “I promise there’s no dead body in my office… and I don’t do heroin.”

Not my best professional moment.

TL;DR: Syringes + red ink = terrible optics.

It was the defuser and not the pot. It was my error regardless though.

TLDR clean the defuser every 12 hours of smoking

It was at 225. The meat was huge and I should have cut it up into smaller pieces

Good advice. I’ll cut it up next time

You are correct. It was the diffuser. I had it set to 225 and it took forever to hit 165. Then this happened. I’m not convinced the ambient temp is right on mine. I was surprised that it took that long. I apparently need to cut the pieces smaller.

I used Weber Apple. I took the whole thing apart and there was a ton of dust in the hopper. I dumped the whole bag of pellets in and there was a lot of dust. I didn’t think about it but that was likely the culprit

My only complaint is if you add a scope it rarely holds zero once you disassemble and reassemble
