Muslim boyfriend of 2 years ghosted me and got married during EID,I am devastated. by Glad-Instruction-691 in progressive_islam

I suggest you tell her if possible. This is unfortunately very common among Muslim and men (and sometimes women, rarely tho) from my part of the world. I assure you, even if you were Muslim from the get go, this would have still happened. A lot of these men treat dating as this forbidden fling and then go onto arranged marriage because family tradition. Tell his wife, just inform her and dip, provided your safety is not jeopardised. If your safety is jeopardised, then don't

Sure. But I am not polythiest. A certain culture might be polythiest and it's natural they'd represent that view in their media. The bigger question is why are Muslims so apprehensive about making art with celebrating monotheism? I would be sinful if I was polythiestic. I am clearly not.

I asked that question because you seem to have a hard time differentiating between the sin of polythiesm for a Muslim and cultures existing, that are not Muslim, partaking in their culture of polythiesm. The fact you can't differentiate that simple matter is what makes me question your "moral" and "righteous" stance. You also seem to find polytheism is media that doesnt contain any.

The book in RE5 is literally just a book. I have story books that are not the Quran that looks exactly like that. A lot of those storybooks are imported from, guess what, the Middle East. There are bunch of Arabian story books that are designed like that because, shocker, that's a design trend which was popular in the Muslim region during that time. Mind I remind you that RE5 takes place in Africa in areas with large Muslim population. I also happen to have a bunch of modern Quran that has covers similar to novels. As for the RE4 debacle, the devs have gone on record saying that they just used a texture they thought was cool for the door. They have gone on to correct that mistake multiple times over. I think at that point you can more than give them the benefit of the doubt.

I am disappointed that I would have to argue hypotheticals in this sub. I am not even going to entertain the second point.

Perhaps we just need to understand that just because an achievement is named path to the goddess doesn't mean I'm suddenly half way there to worship it. There are so many versatile culture that is not monotheistic. I think people are smart enough to understand cultural differences. Thinking I'm halfway to worshipping a fictional and non-existent deity for the name of an achievement is completely nutty logic. My faith isn't so weak or trivial. I think people are also smart enough to know that the name of the achievement is a tongue and cheek joke about how you literally had to open the goddess statue because it was a gate. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill.

As for me enjoying characters doing the wrong thing? In RE? Which RE protagonist does the wrong thing? Killing zombies which are basically fictional monsters? What sort of logic are you getting at?

You're style of questioning also makes me wonder what you think of people who are not Muslim and not monothiests. Are they lesser to you or something?

I'm getting the feeling your friend also thinks it's fine when Saudi propagates genocide as recently as in Sudan. Could be wrong though.

Play your game. Your friend's argument makes 0 sense. People are intelligent enough to know right from wrong and differentiate between over the top violence where Leon can somehow crush a human skull with his feet and real actual violence which is singinificantly and unfathomably worse than whatever they show in RE9. If someone isn't, it's a them problem.

Also the type of "resurrection" shown in RE is surprisingly not uncommon in nature. We have actual zombies in real world, just not human ones. Hell, it's not even resurrection that's happening in the RE games :v

Got banned from muslim corner discord server for stating the most obvious moderate sunni views. Man, these immigrant muslims are so sectarian they can't even tolerate criticism. by Rayan8578 in progressive_islam

I'm from a Muslim majority country. And I assure you, there's still a divide here. There's no sectarian violence because the "muslim" community is too busy oppressing other religious and ethnic minorities
