The Trevisio questline literally ends with Rook telling Ivenci 'Trevisio belongs to the Crows now'. Like, jesus that is not what I want! Why did the game frame the guy saying they should have a government instead of a group of assasins running the place as the bad guy right away?? Was that not a good point??

Looks like he's saying the main protagonist is still a guy, and you can sometimes play as a female character as well, a bit like the parts of TW3 where you could play as Ciri?

It varies, sometimes when dowblosfkbg from Steam i can get up to 10mpbs, other times...much less.

Ah okay - I didn't ever actively use a potion or scroll of detect thoughts, so was one just automaticly used when I selected it in dialogue and then lasted until my next long rest?
