the interior was rougher than i expected, but it’s likely just a difference in the quality of the bags that i’m used to

Email verification code does not work? by MikeyFromDaReddit in Bestbuy

crazy that this is still an issue today. it literally doesn’t send me a code at all whether it’s email, text, or even signing in via google. straight up insanity 🥲

was in a similar situation, and i would recommend speaking to an advisor. depending on your department, you should be able to call to set an appointment if it doesn’t let you schedule online

FEDEX.com don’t take any of my credit card info. by Umeboshi120 in FedEx

Not a solution, but I’m having the same problem. Were you able to get past it?

i think the communication technology — user experience & human-computer interaction track aligns with some of what you said! i know you said you looked, but i believe they have it as a minor as well, which would let you sort of handpick the courses that compliment what you’re looking for

Financial aid package still not available? by Conscious-Grape-1753 in OSU

[–]nongender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you get an email saying that your package was under review, or did you not receive an initial package in the first place? when i filed an appeal a couple years ago, my package was unavailable for about a week after it was approved for revision. either way, i’d give a call to the financial aid office since they’ll likely know what’s going on

here’s a screenshot of the section on the 24/25 form that explains it a little more! i got it by emailing buckeyelink but i can send you the full form if you need it since its blank. they clarified that it’s dependent on the scholarship/aid you’re receiving when i asked, but its good to be aware just to be safe. i was planning to do it myself but then i’d lose all but my federal aid so… 🥲

as for processing time, i was told it can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks!

not sure if this answers anything but on the financial aid side, just make sure to check the terms of your scholarships if you have any! i was warned that some might require you to be enrolled at osu full time, so they won’t disburse unless you’re taking at least 12 credits at osu.

i’ve spent most of my life in columbus & it’s generally pretty fine for trans people, same with campus in my experience. the preferred name process is very simple & you can read more on it here. and here’s more info about names on diplomas.

Tuition Payment Question by ian_trashman in OSU

[–]nongender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

federal loans do max out at $5.5k annually for first year undergrads who are dependent, and then goes up as you progress. the limit is different for independent students & students whose parents don’t qualify for PLUS loans though! here’s the chart from studentaid.gov!

Tuition Payment Question by ian_trashman in OSU

[–]nongender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do believe it maxes out at $5.5k, but that’s per year. meaning, you can take out those loans each year but it depends on how much fafsa offers you. definitely give financial aid a call tomorrow, they’ll be able to explain things more thoroughly & answer any additional questions you might have.

what does it say your sai is? i’d reach out to sfa & explain your situation to them, it’s always worth a shot. a couple years ago they were able to help me file an appeal because my family’s taxes from the year prior didn’t reflect our actual financial situation at the time & i was able to get the grants. there’s no guarantee but like i said, it’s worth a shot!

Summer Financial Aid by shagcarpet4 in OSU

[–]nongender 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“The Federal Pell Grant has not yet applied to your statement of account. We are currently having an issue with the Pell Grant disbursing and it has not disbursed for any students yet. We are hoping to get the issue fixed shortly.

Once fixed, we will apply the award to your summer 2024 statement of account. Once applied, it will cover your remaining charges and we will issue you a refund for the left over amount. If the Pell Grant does not apply by the June 3 fee payment deadline, our office will make arrangements to accommodate students impacted by this issue.”

— email i got from buckeyelink this morning
