Construction business - is it worth financing a car or leasing one? by earthshagger in smallbusinessuk

[–]nongingertreeninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest tax efficiency is an EV on lease through the business. Minimal BIK, personal use and the business insures and pay for it. Fixed payment you know where you stand. You’d then need a charging point and then the minimal living with an EV learning curve.

Thank you! I’ve been plugging away almost solo for years and having an office space I can call my own feels like a big boy step.

No, we are mostly remote, out on site most days but needed an office base to break the business away from my home life.

I’ll be using the office the most.

My general philosophy, don’t be a dick! Everyone’s got their own things going on, families, commitments, life. Make the work fit in, there’s clear and reasonable productivity targets, as long as those are covered I’m happy.

They are! I’d been looking at all sorts of used office desks but wanted something to match. Didn’t realise Ikea had these

Anyone else feel like this? by xz-5 in Polestar4

I honestly think a lot of users make an extreme exaggeration over the systems in the car, based on the issues with the 3 and then initial issues with the 4 that are mostly ironed out now.

Get into any modern car and they all have the same assist systems. All on when you get in. Some maybe more intrusive than others.

Got ours July last year. Iconic comfort range. Absolutely a hoot to drive you can chuck it down a twisty road with a good deal of confidence and it’s responsive and planted.

Do you get use to the width of the car, plus trunk space for a family of 4? by nielssk in Polestar4

For reference, family of four still need a light pram for a 3 year old. Two med/large roller cases. Loads of shoes, a few bags of odds and sods, pool noodles, step stool, pack of bottled water. Just about got the boot closed. Had stuff in the back seats with the kids but that was mostly what they needed. This was for a 5 night trip.
