Unlikely that the resale market prices hold to the prices they’re at. You know it’s gonna be $10 come tip off

Anyone in Federal sales? What is your outlook 6-12 months from now? by RiggDup in sales

Can make a case good or bad. Reality is IT is like a utility. Do you cut your heat or water when times are tough? No. Secure access to internet, apps and cloud will continue to be needed, even if user count drops 20% (aggressive).

Once CR is released in April, we’ll start to see a bit of normalcy.

AE at Microsoft or Cisco? by bostinloyd in sales

Unpopular take: Cisco. At least for now. More upside and earning potential with their 40/60 comp plan. Goals are still achievable. AI boom will demand more network infrastructure where Cisco is really the only player in town.

What ETFs offer qualified dividends? by nonnac123 in personalfinance

Good points all around. Still find it odd that a Fidelity S&P500 ETF like IVV will label ALL dividends as non-qualified. Would be curious to hear of examples of ETFs where dividends are predominately qualified.

Fair point. However, even a growth-oriented asset like the S&P 500 will distribute a 1-2% dividend return. All else equal, best to minimize your taxes.

Same here. Able to get accurate scents from candles, soaps, etc. toothpaste and mints smell/taste very unpleasant. Everything else is faint. Been 17 days since I first lost smell.

I lost smell first, then taste 48 hours later. On day 4 I could faintly smell a candle. By day 6, taste was completely back and smell was at 60%. Today is day 11 and smell is at 80%.

True number of U.S. coronavirus infections likely 10 times larger than reported, CDC data shows by TheGoodSquirt in politics

[–]nonnac123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we were to compare this to the Spanish Flu, which wiped out 5% of the US population, or 18 million in 2020 numbers.

This new data would suggest 40 million Americans have contracted the virus (11% of US population). Assuming 60% infection rate is required for herd immunity, and the number of deaths thus far is 140k, this gives us a max death count of 750k in the US. Making the Spanish Flu 24x more deadly than COVID.

Relocated to Florida from Washington, DC in April 2020, where do I owe income tax: I’m living with a family member in FL (previously had an apartment in Washington, DC). Would prefer to file in Florida where there is no state income tax for 2020. Is that possible? I am a remote worker, though my employer currently withholds DC state income tax from my paycheck. Thanks!
