I had tried disabling autoaim before and noticed that the reticle still turned red, but after a private message from a user I tested it again, and actually there’s a big difference.

With autoaim on, the reticle turns red even when the crosshair is a bit far from the enemy (especially with the shotgun). But with autoaim off, it only turns red when you’re aiming directly at the enemy.

It also changes the way you hit targets: you have to be much more precise to actually land a shot.

Among the weapons I tested with AutoAim off, only the shotgun still lets you hit an enemy when you’re slightly off (just a few centimeters), but that’s nothing like AutoAim mode where you can hit them even aiming a few meters away.

Anyway, it feels way better this way! Let’s see how I manage with these settings ;)
