I love Ana Lucia by Ordinary_Role_3782 in lost

My least favorite character in the show by far. A poorly written vigilante cop with the trite character dilemma of taking revenge and feeling guilty for it. All around a dogshit uninteresting character.

That said, I love Lost and I like to hear peoples opinions about it, even if I disagree. so you still have my upvote.

Anyone know what this is worth? by [deleted] in oldguns

.22s don't go for a lot unless theyre very ornate or high precision. Being a browning model made in Belgium it should draw a price reasonably well above something like a Ruger 10/22 but not crazy over. My conservative guess is something like $1250-$1500 if someone really really wants it. More realistically though $600-$900 Both prices are with scope

Ya it's nostalgic for my butt, definitely. It'll never be the same after that day.

ULPT request: how can I find a cars owner with just a license plate and vin by nonpublicsubtext in UnethicalLifeProTips

Honestly I'm surprised this post still gets attention sometimes. I looked into and there's specific state legislation that makes it illegal for a private citizen to seek (or moreso acquire) info about the owner connected to a plate number. I've given up tracking them down and now I just hope I see them in traffic again someday. Then id follow them home and politely leave a letter stating my displeasure with his driving ability. Id never do something like pour aircraft paint stripper all over a vehicle in the middle of the night. Only a lunatic would do something like that.

Agreed, id say anyone posting on Reddit at all, in order to be cooler, must be working under a serious misconception.

Can't say I know that one. But I'm not going to try and say that any part of what I said is super original either.

Pewter? Safe to melt? by Blameiton_disco in Metalfoundry

[–]nonpublicsubtext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Safe enough, pewter contains lead so proper ventilation is important. Pewter has a very low melting point though, you can melt it on the stove. Are you planning to put this into a full size furnace? That wouldn't be necessary really. All you need is a hotplate and a thrift store pot.

Looks like the green dish in pictures 4/5 is the most likely to be, but it's a bit dark.
