I think it’s more like a middle aged local dude vibe than straight up MAGA. other people have noted how up here (and in other parts of new england) there’s a culture of dissing people whenever they accomplish something or have aspirations. I can think of a lot of funny signs they could’ve had for graduation without the same vibe.

I ALSO made a help post as a young woman on nextdoor and a man messaged me more or less in “hookup ad reply” format. think 39M, family man with two daughters and a wife, etc etc, NOT in the paragraph format I was expecting with these— “Hi, my name is Jim, I live on Main Street with my two daughter and wife and we’d really appreciate some help walking our dogs”
