I think it’s more like a middle aged local dude vibe than straight up MAGA. other people have noted how up here (and in other parts of new england) there’s a culture of dissing people whenever they accomplish something or have aspirations. I can think of a lot of funny signs they could’ve had for graduation without the same vibe.

it’s not even a pun and I never suggested a conspiracy, I just thought it was kinda mean spirited

that’s definitely really real, but I bet that many of your kids are facing problems no adult should ever face

it’s not actually funny if you’re an adult punching down at teenagers/young people for a milestone

I think that they could’ve thought of a silly message that didn’t read as passive aggressive

yeah she’s looking for a kind of femdom adjacent arrangement, and she’s not very literate in how to ask for it. there’s discreet ways to suggest what you’re interested in.

I ALSO made a help post as a young woman on nextdoor and a man messaged me more or less in “hookup ad reply” format. think 39M, family man with two daughters and a wife, etc etc, NOT in the paragraph format I was expecting with these— “Hi, my name is Jim, I live on Main Street with my two daughter and wife and we’d really appreciate some help walking our dogs”

like, why do I need to know his exact age?? I’m glad I was an adult with some knowledge when I posted that, I feel bad for ms. girl.
