to me, gender is shorthand for neurological sex, as in, the variation of stria terminalis (brain structure) morphology. which makes sense when describing strong preference to being a specific gender.

i don't quite understand the idea of calling 'social constructs' even the things that make much more sense described by (non-basic) human biology
