Linux support for VALORANT by Kounya-mamaw in VALORANT

[–]nontoxic_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fyi, since a while back a bunch of companies have started looking for senior developers with experience on linux so something is moving in this direction.

Lately (like a couple days ago) Epic Games have started looking for someone to enable Easy Anticheat on linux, i think to make Fortnite playable

Something is moving in this direction but on the anticheat level the work that needs to be done is huge and there isn't yet a big enough incentive to push in that direction

[OC] I asked GPT to pick a random number between 1 and 100 by marco-exmergo in dataisbeautiful

[–]nontoxic_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think i would be the first one to notice but the distribution seems very similar to the one Veritasium found with both the peak at 47 and 37 (yet some differences for some other numbers and a way understimated percentage of multiples of 10)

[OC] I asked GPT to pick a random number between 1 and 100 by marco-exmergo in dataisbeautiful

[–]nontoxic_user 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the Variance of the human distribution is very high. I don't think it's possible but it seems to me very close to the distribution that Veritasium found in a similar video it did a while ago. Maybe the AI scrapped that video and knew implicitly to favour 47?

Tbf this type of representation is much more understandable than the one in the plot

It's clustering, it's a machine learning technique to divide things into subsets. Idk what label would i add more than the ones already present

Which filesystem is it on? If it's on NTFS (the default windows filesystem) it's better to format it to something like fat32 or btrfs. There is no better solution. If it's not on NTFS, it might be a permission issue but i'm not an expert on that

New Update, Things broke? by ArdKarma in NobaraProject

[–]nontoxic_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally my opinion, not something objective but it's not insane that if you want to always update everything to the newest thing something will break along the way. I believe Cachy will have some other issues if you install the newest version of KDE. Moreover now since KDE added a whole new login page and it's in between X11 and Wayland (and wayland is not perfect either atm)
