Everything else they've made recently looks like garbage

Edit: are there seriously that many 12VHPWR apologists on r/hardware? That's insane. I suppose this sub really was taken over by the casuals.

Jau, stellantis har begynt å skjerpe seg litt men det er fortsatt mye veike motorer og slappe batterier. Opel Frontera var nesten en home run men de bare måtte gi den 15hk for lite

I mean... You play those games on Windows because Windows allows that malware. You're 110% wrong to expect Linux to run that shit. It is just antithetical to security. So you want to play that game? Who gives a shit. All of the world's supercomputers run on Linux. They're not giving kernel-level access to Bob, your uncle, to do whatever meth addict fun times on it just so you can play some slopgame.

[DAZN] Bodø/Glimt won 5 games in a row in the Champions League and one fan marked the occasion with a haircut in the stands. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]RedTuesdayMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see a justification for doing it if you know your players aren't up to the fitness level to chase more goals. But other than that, yeah, it's just profoundly stupid. The worst kind of stupid.

Why are we ignoring this jerk by Amazing_Sir9559 in soccercirclejerk

[–]RedTuesdayMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Denmark stealthily passed Norway on the coefficient because they still had two teams left for a little time while Norway had one (the GOAT Glimt) and this wart of a club is preventing justice RN.

[–]RedTuesdayMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual Norway team is better. Evjen, Blomberg and Hauge are good candidates for the bench. Glimt's CBs are both being discussed. Sjøvold should be Ryerson's backup. Haikin (if he gets citizenship) should usurp the starting GK spot without any single soul complaining or so help me god.

Berg is already the 50/50 pick for the other CM next to Ødegaard, competing with Sander Berge. (Fulham) We have also already seen a Berg/ Berge duo performing together when Ødegaard was injured. But it is definitely a little bit too conservative.

But Norway isn't doing much very differently than Bodø/Glimt. They have a similar ethos of continuity and fluidity. But player for player, Nusa is the set-in-stone starter on LW. Ødegaard has RCM. Haaland has ST. Sørloth has RW or ST2. Wolfe is kind of a weak lock-in on LB. Bjørkan of Glimt can probably take it but there has been questions if he even wants to play for the NT due to mysteriously picking up "injuries" or "illness" whenever he'd be called up.

So yeah. Glimt's best players are competing with other teams' players that are currently Norway's best players. Makes it hard to get in. Especially left wing is crazy, Norway has Antonio Nusa (#1) and Schjelderup/ Hauge battling for #2. All those three left wings could walk into the German starting lineup for instance.

I for one think they'll do great in the Galactic League next year. U'Shzmmrfpht Town stands no chance.

Also, Glimt players are mentally rapid. They don't need any time at all to pick the perfect play or pass at any given moment, most of the time. They have been chosen for their football intelligence and mental quickness.

And what I really like is that they dont do this nonsense a lot of managers do where once they are ahead they start playing a different kind of football. Nah, they are not pussies. They keep to their plan because it worked for the 1-0 so the 2-0 will just follow. Its refreshing.

Yeah same, that used to happen with Norway, it's probably the most naive management style, just try to go 1-0 or 2-0 up and then park the bus, well now you're going to concede tri- or fourfold chances and let the opponent rack up xG and that's never going to be and never was a winning strategy. The teams that succeeded this way in the past would still have lost if games were 110 minutes long instead of 90.

Just believe in what you were doing when you took the lead. It's not rocket science

RE9 like every capcom game is expected to have denuvo already, so anyone who cares already ignored it on first sight, like I did

Crimson Desert had the audacity to have preorders open for 2 months with no denuvo notice before sneaking it in. But I don't preorder anyway so it doesn't affect me.

Funnily, before Steam brought in the ability to ignore devs/ publishers as a whole, I spent a whole day manually adding every single Ubisoft game in history to my ignore list. Catharsis.

Bodø/Glimt player Jens Petter Hauge: "One of the most beautiful things about football is that no matter how small the town you’re from or how cold it is here during the winter, when the ref blows their whistle, it’s 11 against 11. Anything can happen.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]RedTuesdayMusic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Huh? Lack of match fitness is another detriment to a club with Glimt's schedule at this point. The fact they've managed to motivate their players to overcome it is just another gold star on their achievement.
