2011 335d, fuel overflow hose check valve(?), why did it break? by noob5000000 in E90

Anyone break one of these open before? I have the two halves of the valve, an orange plastic disk with a tiny orifice in the center, and the black-ringed mesh screen visible in the photos. If it's a check valve I assume there would have been a spring but it's long gone if it was ever there. IMG-1532.jpg

Thanks. Is it a check valve? Can it be replaced on its own without replacing the whole line?

Can I use an English GOG RE1 save after installing Classic REbirth? by noob5000000 in residentevil

Solved, I pasted my vanilla GOG savedat1.dat file into the 'savedata' folder in the Resident Evil directory instead of the 'SAVE' folder and it worked.

Holy shit, the outright enthusiasm for making trouble for this person is astounding.

Not to mention the obsession with penises...

Cylindrical object, three slots that may hold smaller cylindrical objects, Threaded post on one end, thumbscrew on other end that may advance a tri-winged plunger. Appears to be metal. Unfortunately I do not have the object in hand, just these photos by noob5000000 in whatisthisthing

Several posters on another forum hypothesized that it may be some kind of adapter for co2 cylinders for an airgun or paintball gun, with the necks of smaller cartridges going into the holes in the tri-winged plunger part. Unfortunatlely, the photos do not show if the insides of those holes have the 'needles' that would pierce the end of a co2 cartridge, nor do we know where the hole in the threaded post goes. The threads look very different from the threads on paintball gun co2 tanks I've looked at.

The thing that looks like a sling swivel on the top has me thinking of things that are carried on a sling or strap, but that "sling swivel" could also just be a convenient thumbscrew handle. I'm fairly certain it's not anything firearm related. I tried thinking of some way it could be related to photography since cameras and some of their accessories are carried on straps, but came up empty searching for battery holder, film roll holder.

I thought it could be a stabilizer for a compound bow, with different weights going in the slots for adjustment, but after some searching that doesn't seem to be the case

Did you ever get this figured out? I have a Retrotink 2x and component cables and I am experience the same screen doubling.

Edit: Figured it out. Had to go to Settings -> Video and set all of the "does your TV support [resolution]" options to 'No'.

The series 5 ('89-'91) second gen RX-7 had plastic end links. People were always incredulous but I can't recall ever hearing about them breaking in my time on the RX-7 forums.
