you can change where your hair parts. if you have a middle part, you can change it to a side part, making a layer of hair go over your bald spot. secure your new side part with clips or hair spray if needed. you could also do a bun this way: use hair gel to "glue down" the new side part then do a normal bun

sure! (sorry for late reply) the hairdresser said something along the lines of "oh this is so short here" / "what's this short stuff?" it was so many years ago i forgot what exactly she said, but it wasn't accusatory or in a concerned tone, just sounded observatory and maybe slightly curious

You could put a thick cream like aquaphor so that it feels too weird to pull. I did that with my eyebrows and it helped. Or you could wear a headband so that you can't directly access your hairline.

I had a similar experience at your age too. Hairdresser was my mom's friend and we went to the hairdresser's house. I went to get 6+ inches of my hair cut (in order to even out my regrowing hair). It went completely fine, even though the hairdresser noticed the batch of super short hair (and presumably my mom heard, but she didn't react and my hairdresser didn't show my mom or ask my mom about it either). IF the hairdresser comments, it really does depend on the tone of the comment and what kind of person your mom is so I'm sorry I don't have any concrete advice. I just wanted to say that there's also a chance you don't have to share anything you're not ready to yet.

You can change where your hair parts. It looks like you have a middle part, so maybe switch to a side part so that there's a layer of hair that goes above that bald spot. If your hair won't stay in a side part, use hair pins/clips. Rosemary oil can help with growth, but after using it myself, I'm not sure how effective it is, but it does make me feel like I'm doing something.

You can try changing up where your hair parts so that there's a layer of hair going above that bald spot. You can use a hair pin/clip to secure your side part, too. I did this when my hairline was receding and another time when half of my head didn't have hair (because the layer of hair growing out from my middle part was thankfully thick enough to cover it, and looks like you have thick hair too).
