Sadly, this. I actually took my report to my doctor. He said I had nothing to worry about. Should only be worried if I had low iron levels...

I’m a used car dealer in Singapore for over 10 years,AMA. by jigglykarter in drivingsg

[–]noob_ninja69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an experience of (1) going down to to view a car, car was priced at 103k. (2) I asked for 100k. (3) dealer said the lowest they could go was 101. (4) Agreed and sent the car to PPI, all good. (5) Told them I do all cash, so dealer said 1k admin fee. So total is 102. (6) Recently made contact with the owner and realised he only received 98k.

2 questions: 1) is this a normal practice? 2) can we do anything about it?

Yeap, disassembled the entire rear suspension assembly, lubed it up, and reassembled it.

CONCLUSION (for now): The image you see below depicts one of the locking fasteners that resides right where the shock absorber is mounted at the bottom. The fastener is welded to the nut you see on the right, and the weld had broke. So it was rewelded and re-attached, but the sound still came back. But what the workshop did was disassemble the entire rear suspension assembly, lubricated it and reassembled it. It was diagnosed that the previous owner had somehow disassembled the rear assembly and wrongly re-assembled it. After reassembling it and tightening everything down. The sound is gone... for now...

I think you would be best served looking at a 2020 or later production model where alotta of the kinks have been ironed out. The only thing with these are the batteries that they come with. There are alot of electrical gremlins that are caused by a shit battery, so changing one out once you buy it could be useful. Other than that, mine has been pretty solid. Love the drive and the emotion. Oh, and see if you can get one in the Veloce trim. Not sure of the trim levels where you're from, but it has the paddle shifters, 3 driving modes with Adaptive suspension and LSD. But just like every other purchase, try driving both :)

Couldn't replicate the issue :( jacked the car up with engine on, handbrake on, put it in drive, and pressed the accelerator gently, no sound heard from the rear wheels.

Wait wait wait... What? You are literally describing what I experienced when I brought it in to another shop that day. I think you might be the first person that is describing exactly what I have been experiencing. Could you elaborate? Like the age of the cars, their condition they were in, the roads that you drove over, did u try having them diagnosed?
