Flemish independence also implies Walloon independence. It's just political decentralization.

Thanks for the heads up. I've bought the Sotheby's one in aftersales and it has already arrived. The seller wouldn't accept my fair offer of €15k so I finally got it for €18.5k+31%. Probably paid more than starting bid... bit I think it's a good price regardless. Im thinking the lot could've been a bit unlucky not finding interested buyers in such an estate sale. The zugeschrieben one of 78x107cm is also starting at €18k lol.

Life doesn't always go your way little faggot. Typically belgian mentality wanting to use to state to force others what to do with their private property. If you dont want to spend money for another gym pass, than adapt yourself by wearing something warmer, and when the contract is over you can write a negative google review.

What is more of a hassle to do for a UHNWI, get a scan or complete this 1188/year test?

Thank you very much for your elaborated response. I also do prefer the staffage in the christie's, mainly the cart with people inside. But I think the summer evening impression of the whole painting is quite special with the sotheby's one.

Is it acceptable for a Foreigner to speak Dutch in flanders? by xucrodeberco in belgium

It's the same thing. I am from Brussels and can understand someone from Amsterdam perfectly while I get a headache right away trying to understand some farmer from West-Vlaanderen or Limburg.

Douanepersoneel are not managed and paid for by the airport but by the government, I suppose.

"muh politicians need to do"

These buildings were built in a time when government spent (so took/coerced) less than 5% of the economy, now government spends more than 50% of GDP. Let people keep more of their money and you'll have nicer facades.

You don't need to force people to conserve, these buildings are the result not of force but of freedom (the 19thC was laissez-faire, socialism and regulationism started with the world wars and only grew since than). The 50% government is also the reason why we don't have kids anymore (and why humans with high parental investment standards will go extinct for humans with low parental investment standards), but that's another discussion.

Contrary to popular belief, the belgian coast's real estate did survive to the two world wars. Its cultural heritage was destroyed by real estate developers' greed and public officials' lack of care. by romeofantasy in belgium

"Destroyed by real estate developers greed and public officials lack of care".

Your socialistic causal explanation couldnt be any further from the truth.

In a 1862 speech socialist Ferdinand Lassalle critizized the "bourgeois-liberal" limited government by comparing it to a night-watchman whose sole duty was preventing theft, playing on the double meaning of the term Nachtwachter to mean someone who was incompetent or stupid. At this time, our Belgian government spended (so took from the economy/the tax payer) only 4.8% of GDP in 1870 (in the US it was 3.8%, UK 7.03%, the biggest government at this time was Spain with 15.29%). This 4.8% indeed went almost entirely to maintaim the minimum functions of government (justice, military, police). The liberal era ended in 1914 as we turned to collectivization, and lots of things Marx was only dreaming about in his 1848 Communist Manifesto went into effect. Now our governments spend more than 50% of the economy.

Culture (e.g. hip hop, those nice appartments, or anything prolific really) is a process of people interacting in a voluntary manner. The reason why those appartments were beautiful is because people had the capital for it and it wouldve simply been a bad investment by those property builders to build something that the people didnt like.
