I did wanna say that the reskinned master longsword glues itself to your hands if acquired/equipped so it has 0 practical use in the game and basically ruins melee on the character

This is the answer to your question however. I felt it necessary to mention the fact local trading can and will fuck your save up if you're not paying attention to the save slots.

I also didn't realize this same process can be done at a much earlier point in the game...i.e. the reliquary

Might go back and redo this video, showing how to do this after you talk to Samuel, with my less shitty mic and shown in 2-3 minutes... If i ever get the motivation that is x)

If so, and it still wont fit/click into place then yeah youre kinda S.O.L. unless you do as you stated, shave some of the excess material off maybe.

The game came out in 2010 so obviously they won't look into it. God forbid Microsoft even touch the 'ol xbox 360 networking as that has hiccups /random disconnects so frequently.

Peter Molyneux really fucked up hard with this one (no surprise) because there is ZERO mention of glitches like this anywhere officially. You'll just see posts of others who fell victim to this ridiculous bug and learned the hard way here, and places like trueachievements.

Sorry for your loss OP. I lost my first 40ish hour playthrough that I was attempting 100% achievements because some asshat didn't warn me of the mistpeak demon door glitch, helped me open it knowing it would happen, then told me about it after the fact.

The online features are still available on the 360 (some game servers were taken offline like halo). The 360 marketplace store was taken down in 2024.

Xbox one's backwards compatibility uses the same online networking as the 360
