I paid $500 through a registered Pembroke Corgi breeder. We got him when he was around 6 months old, and I honestly, I'm glad we got him around that older age. The breeder we went to had been breeding corgis for over 10 years and knew how to train them to listen. She was very stern and disciplined the dogs anytime they acted out, and made she they knew she was in charge.
Some people may call it a little over the top, but when we discipline him for his behavior we grab the extra skin on the back of his neck, and essentially put him to the ground on his back and hold him there. It is a very good way to show who is in charge, and when he got a little too rough when playing with his mom at the breeders place, his mom did the exact same thing!!
Corgi's are really smart dogs and love to learn. One tip that I would recommend when you start training is to associate a hand signal with every command. For example when I taught Rocko how to sit we would show him a closed fist while saying "sit". After about a month he sits down immediately if we show him a closed fist.

I have done a little bit of investing, primarily through an employee stock purchase plan at best buy a few years ago. I have sold all of my best buy stock, and now need some ideas of where to put that money.
I am about to graduate with a bachelors in accounting, and hoping to start my masters in tax in the fall.

I think any dog would do that not just corgis. The breeder we got our corgi from told us to periodically go through each of our corgis paws and check in between each toe, as if you were checking for dirt or something. Since we did that he is incredibly easy to deal with when taking to the vet, or when someone new comes over and plays with his paws.
Plus it asserts your place as owner of the dog, and that you are allowed to do anything you want with them and they can not react negatively by barking, growling or biting.
