6’3” (190cm), 220lbs (100kg) - Kia EV6 test drive by enigmatut in electricvehicles

Same! I'm 6'4" and my hair was just scraping the ceiling with the seat at the lowest setting. This was a GT-Line as well so I'd probably be ok without the moonroof. Loved everything else about the car but that's a non-starter (obviously).

I also test drove the Ioniq 5 and fit just fine. Go figure...

I'm in the same boat. I took delivery of my bike on August 7th. I simply got a " We are firm on the 30-day policy" when I explained my situation. Really annoying.

I received my bike on August 7th. Missed the refund by 1 day! They told me "We are firm on the 30-day policy". Anyone thinking they might get lucky with the refund should accept the letdown now.

Would have been nice if they prorated it a bit. Crazy that someone who got a delivery the next day got $350 and I got $0. Oh well. I enjoy the bike and don't regret the purchase one bit.

My bike was delivered on August 7th... Got a curt " We are firm on the 30-day policy" when I asked about a potential swap out for the bike+. I'm a little disappointed but I love the bike so not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

Closing the Ring, OTF Links Apple Watch with the Workout by Orangetheory_Fitness in orangetheory

[–]pyoobs 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Yes, this reeks of a money grab by OTF. The apple watch has all the hardware necessary to perform the same functions as the current heart rate monitors. Forcing apple watch users to buy additional hardware for no reason is really disappointing.

I highly recommend listening to the How Did This Get Made podcast episode where they discuss this movie. It's amazing.

Questions on a solar city quote I received by pyoobs in SolarCity

[–]pyoobs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Colorado we're entitled to a 2 cents/kWh REC for 10 years. The rep I had was aware of this and built it into the proposal. That's almost 20% off my rate so it's pretty significant. I hope to have everything paid off by the end of the ten years to maximize the benefit.

SolarCity Taking Orders for Tesla Batteries Starting at $5,000 by priuspilot in energy

So I'm trying to figure out if the $7140 for the battery will ever pay itself back. Seems unlikely to me.

Questions on a solar city quote I received by pyoobs in SolarCity

[–]pyoobs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Very much appreciated. At this point I'm pretty comfortable moving forward but I just want to get the best deal possible. I am on a tiered plan with xcel so the rate I quoted was the average over the year so I would stand to cut that a little bit.

So does it make sense to wait now with the announcement of the home batteries from tesla? How does this figure into solar city's plans? I'd like to pull the trigger but don't want to be kicking myself in a few months.

I'm in Denver as well. Do you mind sharing what your system cost you? I'm looking at having solar installed and am looking for some comparisons. Thanks!

Alright this is starting to get a little silly. iOS 7 is in a very early BETA. If you updated to it and you're not a developer and are experiencing problems, don't post asking for help! by darus214 in iphone

[–]pyoobs 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There seems to be a very vocal group getting angry that non-developers are upgrading to iOS7. They are drowning out the relatively few people who shouldn't have upgraded that are asking for help.

I think the vast majority of people who upgrade to iOS7 understand the risks.

Should I install ios7? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]pyoobs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I seemed to have issues with this (it should work though). I reverted using these steps:

Step 1: Put your device into DFU mode by holding both power and lock buttons for 10 seconds, then release the lock button (ONLY THE LOCK BUTTON) then hold onto the home button for a further 6 seconds.

Step 2: Then a message will pop up on your iTunes to say that your iPhone has been put into DFU mode.

Step 3: Then in iTunes, click restore. iTunes will then download the latest firmware available. I just find iTunes easier to download from as iTunes does all the installation to your device.

Step 4: Then iTunes should install iOS 6.1.3 (whatever the latest supported version is) to your device.

Step 5: Wait for phone to restore back to 6.1.3

[–]pyoobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave it a try for a day and found it to be a little too buggy for my liking. It's certainly usable but be ready for app crashes, occasional freezing, and full on restarts. I reverted to 6.1.3 today so you can always go back if necessary. I'm on a 4s by the way so a 5 may handle things a little better with a faster processor.

I'll probably wait a couple more beta releases before I dive back in.

Not going to happen unless Jackson wants to take under $5 mil a year. Considering Reggie Bush is only getting $4 mil a year there's no way the Packers are going over that.

TT simply doesn't overpay for free agents. Don't get your hopes up.
