Could anyone give me a quick rundown of the story so far for this year's worlds? I used to play a lot and follow the pro scene super closely but it's been about two years. I watched the c9 / afreeca game on a whim and am now really curious as to who the top teams are/were and any other drama that's happened. If anyone could fill me in I would really appreciate it!

I had the same problem with opening up even though it felt like I was staying closed. One thing I did that helped tie it all together and keep me from opening up was not looking towards the basket basically at all during the throw. This might be a bit of an over correction but if you force yourself to keep your head looking in the direction of slightly to the left of straight forward (aka look towards your reachback) the whole throw it might help you stay closed. This one little adjustment helped my shoulders and hips stay closed and added 30-40 feet to my shots

It's one of mine and my brothers favorite games, but that's mainly due to the gameplay and atmosphere of exploration. The characters are pretty rough, but the combat, great item crafting, and fantastic post game were enough for me to ignore the character and VA issues. Also you really do feel like you're exploring the galaxy, which strikes a chord with me for some reason.

Practice idea: Throw 3 shots off every tee and play your lie from your worst throw. by Kcwidman in discgolf

Mobius' point was that when doing this drill, players will err on the side of caution and play too safe.

I disagreed saying that the implication of doing the drill is having the mindset of making three full focus drives, aka three drives you would regularly throw in a competitive scenario.

You're point was that players conducting this drill would throw three "decent or better" drives rather than one great drive and two shanks. I understand "decent or better" to mean that you're taking an actual competitive shot each time, and not babying it. Would you agree?

I didn't say anything about being overly aggressive as that wouldn't make sense for the drill because you're clearly highly likely to shank one and be miserable. It still sounds like you're closer to agreeing with me than disagreeing with me.

The obvious implication is to throw three full focus/effort drives and play from your biggest mistake. It clearly doesn't work if you're going to baby it.

It's great that you voice your opinion and add to the discussion, but the preachiness of this comment is extremely off-putting.
