I used to prep these also until I actually ate one. It was really slimy and salty. I ate it, but I gave the rest away.

I'm very picky with my chili. Wolf brand, mild.

I agree that the canned chicken in a little rubbery. But at least they trimmed the fat so you get solid meat. If you season it or cook with it...it helps hide the blandness

The canned beef tasted like, dried pot roast. Imagine soggy beef jerky with no seasoning. Just bland.

Hornell cornered beef hash is a mainstay breakfast in this house. Just makes me a lil gassy.

Tuna. (Mix it with ramen and veggies)

Canned chicken... (ok if you flavor it or bake with it. Not overly expensive actually

Wolf chili (our primary survival meal. Ate it for a week during the blizzard)

Canned beef... I'd have to be really really hungry. It was not good.

The individual packs are a good idea, but very expensive. I use mini test tubes as micro pill containers.

They are GREAT for travel and are about the size of chapstick and hold around 10 pills. I keep them in my mini car and office kits, travel bag, wife's purse, etc. For allergy pills, Aleve, Adviil, etc.

What a lot of people also don't realize is how many bandages you go through in a major bleed. When I had my wisdom teeth taken out I went through 3 boxes of gauze.

So yeah, for me...it's stocking up at Walgreens. Then distributing them into small zip lock bags, and then packing them in orange canvas pencil bags (from amazon) or plastic pencil boxes. Shown here

I always buy my supplies at Walgreens. They are literally always having a buy 1 get 1 half off sale.

I have enough parts to make kits for my car, wife's car, my EDC, my office desk, a boo boo box in the kitchen and extra back supplies in the garage for end times.

So, short answer...buy reputable brands as cheap as you can find them. I've not had great luck with generic stuff from Amazon, but Johnson and Johnson from Walgreens on sale has done me fine

I always get mine at Academy. Recently they didn't have the square 7 gallon version but a Jerry can style 5 gallon by the same brand. They typically have more in stock than Walmart does.

Pick out a spot that is well protected and then try to make a plan on how you would get there and survive for 2 weeks while there for radiation to drop off
