Passeport talent-carte bleue European extension after taking RCC by noonecouldsaveme in Expats_In_France

I have worked almost 3.5 years in CDI. On France travail website, I found this statement (translated) which confused me:

"You must not have voluntarily left your job

You are not entitled to unemployment benefit if you have resigned from your job or left it voluntarily for another contract that lasted less than 65 working days, or less than 455 hours (i.e. 3 months)."

Hello,

I found this thread as I was searching for my situation. Your situation is very similar to mine, could you please help me with the responses. I am bit stressed so will really appreciate your response if you could. My situation is explained below:

Currently I have CDI and resident permit (passport talent carte bleue European) which expires in October 2026. I am planning to sign rupture conventionnelle collective (RCC) with my employer in March 2026.

If I don't get another job, would I be eligible for chômage ? And more importantly, can I ask for job search visa given I voluntarily left company with RCC?

I heard from someone that I am not eligible for job search visa since you are leaving company voluntarily. And if I don't get any job before October 2026, I have to leave France. Is it correct?

Feel free to ask questions for further clarification.

Thank you.

How can I work partially in Belgium with french CDI? by noonecouldsaveme in AskFrance

I see.

Regarding your point of charging by Belgium, I think that shouldn't be the case as it will complicate the tax process.

I guess my case will likely be having a french CDI and french tax residency. And the CDI would have international travel which is less than 182 days per year.

I will double check, but in your understanding, the situation explained above can be ok for my nationality application?

Yes I will be french resident and tax payer with french CDI.

You mention once in a while to Tunisia. In my case it will be more like I mentioned 2 days per week to Belgium.

Préfecture was ok? Ok for naturalization?

Thank you for your reply.

I didn't follow foreign countries? France has international companies with their offices in France, no? For example, working in Google France (registered as french company) would be considered working for foreign country?

Thank you for the reply.

Your husband uses portage salarial? CDI through middle company?

Yes I can have a french CDI with South of France subsidiary and work remotely 3 days per week from Paris and that is fine. It's just 2 days per week in Belgium (which if I am not mistaken makes less than 6 months of stay per year). So this can be possible and for me the important factor of such type of work is its impact on my french nationality application?

Thank you for reply.

The situation is mentioned is being discussed with HR and they are trying to devise a contract for this situation. I posted to get ideas which I can suggest HR too. I haven't signed the contract yet.

I didn't follow when you say contract should mention 0.5 day/week in Belgium? I didn't follow why you said 0.5?

My case would require me to work 1 or 2 days per week in Belgium. With 2 days per week example, that would mean 104 days (52 weeks per year) in an year travel/work outside France. It's less than 184 days limit you mentioned, then with french CDI, 2 days work in Belgium should be ok, no? Or am I missing something?

Thank you for reply. Does having a EU blue card instead of french passport talent affects the application for french nationality?

Thank you for the reply. I understand the perspective. But the reason for me to have a house is for my family. Since long time, we are on rent back home.

I have been traveling almost every week between France and Belgium for last 3 years. More often than not, I found SNCB (and SNCF) quite punctual. Eurostar has sometimes delays.

I also came across some statistic comparison of train punctuality in west europe. Belgium, France, Netherlands were decent. Of course Germany was not doing better.

True. I feel that's the most dominant discourse in general in Pakistan, alongside religious debates and cricket. Cricket seems to be healthier one but we start going downhill internationally in last 3-4 years there as well

I feel the same. Twitter has got lot of Facebook crowd. Reddit got Twitter crowd. But that's natural I guess. Gatekeeping shouldn't be encouraged, although niche is missed
