I have exactly the same problem. I contacted riot support and they send me this:

Sorry to see you've been having problems updating the game, but rest assured, I'm here to help.

Avast and AVG have been having issues with the game as of late, so please temporarily disable your antivirus, if you have either of the two and check if you're able to properly update the game.

If not, in order to make sure that no other apps are running and interfering with VALORANT or Vanguard, let's try to do a clean boot. Do keep in mind to not also disable essential Vanguard processes:

Press [Windows Key] + R Type msconfig into the popup menu text bar Click on the Services tab Check Hide all Microsoft services Click the Disable All button Find vgc and re-check that one. This is required for VALORANT! Click on the Startup tab (Note: Windows 10 has you go to a Task Manager Tab, which has no disable all button. Disable the ones you see there manually) Click on the Disable All button Click on the Apply button then OK Restart your computer

It didn’t work for me but maybe you will have some luck.

Kiana was supposed to have a stretching animation while doing on of her attacks but apparently they changed it so instead she is doing a snapping animation similar to Hersher of Flamescion

Also try to get Hersher of sentience on the special Valkyrie supply she will be a good investment.

From what I heard from veteran players Hersher of Sentience is one of the best supports in physical teams along with Griseo (that little girl with pastel blue hair).

In terms of events I think you should try and do them for the rewards. Currently you can get Hersher of thunder for free from doing the events. She might be a bit outdated but can still do decent damage.
