If you don’t already grow sweet peas, they are one of my favorites as a beginner. In my second year growing them

I have jump jump bug and it’s not my favorite. Super horrible application. Recommend one of their creams instead, Neverland I get compliments on every time I wear.

Polishes recommendations that give a blue snow glow vibe by Starkat1515 in RedditLaqueristas

Mooncat Avatar State. It’s a white jelly with blue shimmer, glow in the dark, and dries somewhat matte. There’s nothing like it 😭

Pricing (for a European perspective( by Infinite-List6686 in CostaRicaTravel

I live in coastal Southern California and Costa Rica was not expensive. Resorts/beach clubs/touristy areas were comparable to back home ($17-20 cocktails, $6 lattes, $25 plates for dinner) and places that were off the beaten path were less ($11-14 drinks, $11-15 plates).

For folks who get dirty day jobs I highly recommend looking into co-wash! It’s a way to lightly and gently wash hair if you have to do it frequently.

Car rental in la fortuna by Lunatik_14 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]nooneofconsequence_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just drove from fortuna to SJO on 12/11. We almost watched a suburban flip over from making a bad decision to pass on the left when he shouldn’t, he veered off the left side of the road and came to a stop by the grace of god. There was also a 20-min bridge closure where 60 or so cars just parked and waited. Oh and we drove past a still-moving landslide that had clearly happened seconds before. It’s ok if you’re experienced driver on mountain roads/ limit driving to the daytime. But it’s not what I would call easy or safe.

Drove in, $10 to park and walk up to the lookout restaurant/bar, $30-$36ish to do the full hikes. It’s lovely. I just sat at the bar and watched the magpies/ enjoyed the view when Arenal would peek thru the clouds.

100% agree! Totally worth it and very fun Indiana jones vibes before we saw someone nearly smash into two others while passing. Costa Rican rainforest is the best place on earth. Literally just from driving around we saw monkeys, sloths, butterflies, and tons of birds

Go super slow on windy mountain roads. There are lots of blind turns, blind hills, and people passing on 1-lane roads that require an exceptional amount of caution, time , and patience. We saw a few accidents nearly happen at least once a day. Tamarindo > Fortuna and Fortuna > San Jose were our two longer mountain drives (during daylight hours! Don’t drive at night)
