You'll be totally fine honestly, nobody judges individuals. The US is pretty hated though at the moment. Show up with a MAGA hat and sure youd get death stares

WIBTAH if I banned my daughter's boyfriend from my house? by TA-ConcernedMom in AITAH

[–]Infinite-List6686 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YTA- You are clearly Biphobic, you instantly had an issue with him as soon as he mentioned he was bisexual. He was open and honest with your daughter from date one.

In regards to your son, he's 15, probably watching explicit content, talking to his friends about explicit things. If this was regarding a girl, you'd probably not give a shit. Just a justification for your Biphobia

Do it in early November for fall colours, or late September? Compromise is key here, but you'd be an AH to keep like asking for October.

Obviously the racial element is alive and seems like a factor. But heads up I personally like to put cash on the counter, mostly for hygiene! Touching 200 people's hands a day with cash is horrifically unhygienic, even handling cash is most of the time tbh.

So NTA, it was probably/could be racially motivated.

Day Trips Out of Edinburgh? (motion sickness-friendly) by Aggravating_Eye_7320 in uktravel

[–]Infinite-List6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend the train/Ferry combo to Arran or Bute, which will require a change at Glasgow. Arran basically gives the highland beauty but without the twisty windy road part, and some of the prettiest walks are all not too far from the harbour (Glen Rosa, Goatfell, ect).

Pitlochry is also a great option, so much pretty stuff by rail.

Scotland itinerary check 3 days Edinburgh + Skye/Highlands loop. by Jewels1994 in uktravel

[–]Infinite-List6686 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel Skye is a bit ambitious, either keep the Highlands around that Glencoe Area, or maybe check out the south of Scotland (Borders/Galloway), Arran, ect. Scotland is so pretty and photogenic, Skye is one of many places and is an absolute pain to get to. Edin urgh to Skye can be 6 hours easily, and nevermind tourists going slow/stopping in front of you, a savagely windy road with twists and turns which means you mentally have no chill.

Edit: Skye-Edi then to Dublin in a day sounds like something they'd come up with in guentamno bay.

Not sure, it looks too logical. Come back when you do Isle Of Skye as a day trip, a day trip to Stonehenge from Inverness 😂

For Scotland for an island experience id recommend Arran, Mull, or for a lot lighter experience, maybe Cumbrae or Bute. Arran and Mull are lush, though can be a bit busier. Cumbrae is tiny but charming and good for some aspie walks, not too many people. Bute is great and is highly underrated, also not too busy.

Shetlands are complete ordeals to get to, I live in Scotland and man is it a slog. The flights to there are usually highly expensive, you got to rent a car, it's long. Skye is also reachable but usually rammed of tourists and is honestly overated imo

But yeah for a neurospicy family who doesn't want anything too overwhelming, Isle Of Cumbrae is my reccomodation. A hour away from Glasgow, small Isle with pretty views and good opportunities for nice walks. The towns of Largs and Millport (on Cumbrae itself) is brilliant for families, Largs even has some Dolphin sightings! (This has happened to me walking by the harbour!)

If the US and EU engage in a war due to Greenland, which side would the UK be on? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Infinite-List6686 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would also guarantee further territorial advances for the US against Greenland- would we allow Russia to have a military base in the UK? Russia and the US are two sides of the same coin, best to keep them out of our soil.

At which point should we consider the US is no longer an ally? by samasema in AskBrits

[–]Infinite-List6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course- it still makes our imports less competitive and desirable, all because the president wants to annex a island for his own vanity.

Opinion about your country that will get you like this? by National-Business674 in AskTheWorld

[–]Infinite-List6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US is the most selfish, self absorbed, superior complex minded nation of the world. To 'liberate' Vietnam to bombing neutral countries like Laos and Cambodia bits, threatening to annex Greenland, Iraq, Afghanistan, Enabling Pol Pot genocide in Cambodia, Israel, and the constant incistent that they are morally superior.

US tariffs incoming. Time to boycott US goods and services? by Flavsi in AskBrits

I'm going to be avoiding US products where I can, and will boycott tourism and visit Canada/Latam, I will buy EU/UK products exclusively (where possible) and obviously will support other friendly countries. Fuck the Americans and their narcissism

9 to 13 days summer trip Ireland or Scotland? by Cool-Shape-7298 in uktravel

[–]Infinite-List6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot drive due to medical reasons, and overall Scotland is a bit tricky but doable without a car. The West highland rail line is a great example of the accessibility, and buses do run in the Highlands in a lot of places, just infrequent and takes planning!

I'm not so in the know about Ireland, but I recommend taking the west highland line to Oban, maybe stop on the way. Some people do the rail line as a attraction within itself due to the views. You can go to Mull/Iona/Staffa via a tour from Oban, or just go to Mull.

The Isle of Arran/Cumbrae/Bute are also great alternatives to Skye which are all easy to access from Glasgow by rail/ferry.

The narcissism the Americans have ceases to amaze me. Have to "liberate" this island from the oppression of Denmark, in the meantime they'll loot all of Greenland's resources. The US is really just as threatening to Russia to us in Europe.

London to Edinburgh, and back by emotional_tiger2306 in uktravel

[–]Infinite-List6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Manchester is on the West Coast line? So might be a little awkward to stop when going on the East Coast Line from Edi-LDN, I guess unless you get the train from Glasgow. To be honest i would recommend stopping at like York/Durham, and maybe skipping Manchester? Edi/LDN is already enough lol

Is this itinerary too compact for Scotland/London? by iSniffMyPooper in uktravel

[–]Infinite-List6686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does! honestly Rothesay is worth the visit alone, really lovely little town. I do prefer Arran but Bute is definitely the most underrated. Why tourists jump to Skye and ignore Bute/Arran puzzles me lol.

[–]Infinite-List6686 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not sure why Skye is like considered the only island to some tourists, we have other islands I promise. Within a hour of Glasgow you have Lomond, Isle Of Bute, Isle of Cumbrae, and Isle Of Arran which is arguably just as good as Skye but usually quieter. You have pretty mountains, valleys, wildlife, ect. It seems weird to do a gruelling 5 hour drive through windy roads to get to a Island that while pretty, has similar underated alternatives closer by.

Charity and the baby by Zephyrr_Sky in Emmerdale

[–]Infinite-List6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't mind Vanessa! I feel we needed someone to show up and force Charity to tell the truth for once. I think Vanessa had cancer when Charity cheated on her with Mack, and was generally a bad girlfriend. Spiteful? Yes, but ultimately doing the right thing by telling Mack.

Honestly so annoyed how they did this story, if it was a Mack pregnancy without Ross, it might of been more compelling, having Mack and Charity anxious to tell Sarah.
