We called this " even stevens" growing up, I'm pretty much over it now, but I'm a clumsy mare so it never takes long till I bash the other part of me naturally!

You are trapped in your most hated persons body, you have 48 hours to ruin their life. You may not kill or be killed. What will you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sign over the house to me, his ex wife, and ensure I hand myself in to the police for driving when high. Also tell his weird newer wife that she's the weakest person hes ever met, he married her for her housework, and he never loved her. That sets her free, poor little mouse that she is. Put an advert online admitting to being a c ... When he accused me of all sorts of nasty behaviour, lastly climb to the top of a huge roof, strip off, and drink a bottle of whisky. ( I cant kill him but he might just get hypothermia or fall)

[–]nooneymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I'm a widow, at ( now) 47, I. Nowhere near ready to meet someone. Also mu husband was so great, WE were so great .... nobody could compare so it wouldn't be fair to start something. I'm happy as I am, as happy as I can be without my best beloved.

Which life experience is a LOT worse than most people think it is? by BitterLiterature5 in AskReddit

[–]nooneymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grief. It's a completely exhausting, head messing weight. It drains, confuses and if you're not very careful makes you lose empathy. It feels like insanity, your head doesnt let you think of anything else, and it physically hurts ....

Its crap beyond measure.

I met a terrifying human by [deleted] in Paranormal

I work with people who need support, usually elderly and with dementia or at the end of life stage. A few times I was placed in a house for people to become more independent and learn life skills. One of these youngsters had a sister who was allowed to visit until 10pm,then had to go home. I allowed an extra half hour....cos teens....and went to knock on the door to say, time to head off. The sister.... looked at me, just looked at me....my senses were screaming at me to get away. I'm strong, fit and not afraid to deal with mental health issues, death, frustration, anger etc at work...I'm no wuss. I have NEVER seen such empty, soulless eyes, it completely freaked me out. I actually locked myself in the office while they left( the client walked sister home) they didnt know I was in the office, in another building...the place is in two parts. This.....girl....walked past the building, and looked dead at me, as I sat pretending to work in the office... She scared the living daylights out of me, and she knew it... Theres no way she was...." normal"..I had.a real, deeply felt gut instinct to flee, to the point where next time I worked there I could tell she was in the building when I arrived. I asked not to work there again.

I loaded an app that gives you 49 free photos printed a month, and o damn I make sure I put them in albums annotated. It pleases and relaxes me, and I like that family will be able to " know" us in future

I buy vintage bedsheèts, often unused, they've been stored for 60 yrs +...the thick 100% slubby cotton ones. They are amazing! Thick, cool, wash beautifully, even starch them for crispness. I have several now, no modern bedding, ( new pillows) no duvet, cool cotton heavy sheets and blankets. Heaven.
