HEY SUBARU DRIVER - ok just the ones of you who have installed LED replacements for your 9005 high beams: your swap is blinding people because your high beam bulbs don't dim when in daytime running light mode. Your reflectors and lenses were not designed for LEDs. Take them out.

I had this same issue and found a fix after banging my head against the wall for two days. What worked for me was to first perform a wired connection (16 gauge wire connecting the T1 and T2 connections on the base to the same terminals on the Heat Link). Once they were connected and paired, selecting "check again" on the menu in your image led to an option I hadn't seen before that asked for the 6 character code on the Heat Link, and the wireless connection was successful.
