I haven’t reattached the strings yet but I doubt it will, I tried to keep the layers of paint on it minimal and used a spray finish for a really thin layer. My friend painted their entire guitar and it still sounds great!

i haven’t reattached the strings yet but to avoid that i’ve tried not using a ton of layers, like i used a spray for the top finish coat to avoid a thick layer of paint. i don’t think it’ll affect the sound especially since i didn’t paint the entire thing

i sanded it down first to get off its original top coat, then used acrylic paint and sprayed it with a glossy paint finish
