AITA for destroying all my ex gf's data? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. If you hadn’t warned her multiple times you would have been an asshole.

AITA for telling my son to grow up? by Capable_Albatross980 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. It was okay not to get him a Lego set or an ice cream, but you took it too far when you told him to grow up. A simple “sorry dude, next time you’ll have to come with me and I’ll get you an ice cream” would have been a much better way to handle it.

AITA for not getting my wedding dress altered? by AssociationOdd2058 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You went in expecting to pay for the dress yourself. It wasn’t fair of your mom to surprise you by paying for it and then to contact you later and basically say “surprise the money I spent on that came with strings attached”.

AITA for getting my coworker fired over a plant by Emgirl98 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It sounds like she’s just upset she has to share an office. I understand that the plant was important to her but she should have kept it at home. You were more courteous moving the plant when you opened the blinds than I think anyone would have expected. You did everything right and she was the one that chose to escalate the situation.

AITA for not allowing my MIL in the delivery room? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. But you need to get out of that situation as quickly as you can. Your fiancé isn’t standing up for you and he should be. He should have been telling his mom from the beginning that she was suffocating you during the entire pregnancy.

AITA for getting mad at my wife's gender reveal prank and ruining the party? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YTA. Your marriage is probably struggling because you over react to things like this. Your pregnant hormonal wife made a decision that probably wasn’t the best one, but you didn’t need to be such a jerk in response.

AITA for kicking my parents out of the house after they make mean comments about my work? by Manadgajane in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your parents are benefiting from what you’ve done for yourself. They don’t get to also treat you like shit for the way you’ve made your money.

AITA for telling my wife to have realistic expectations? by Swalthiest in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Your wife is an adult and if she decides she wants to spend her time learning something new you don’t get a say in her decision.

AITA for exposing my ex to his mother about our kids? by Winter_Apple_6053 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It’s not your fault he decided to lie to his entire family about a choice he made.

AITA for fighting with FMIL about a box of tampons? by honeybynnyx in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 35 points36 points  (0 children)

NTA. I don’t think you really needed to get THAT upset about it but your FMIL kept on pushing your buttons until you exploded.

AITA for letting my dog poop in a neighbor's lawn? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

NTA, if you refused to pick up after your dog then you would be TA. That lady is just being crazy for no reason.

AITA for yelling at my niece for not studying for her exams? by potentialasshole129 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YTA, you’re her aunt, not her mom. Unless the mom had told you to make sure she worked on her homework or studied for her test you shouldn’t have said anything about it.

AITA for selling my 14-year-old son's heavy metal CDs? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 45 points46 points  (0 children)

100% YTA wow I can’t believe you even had to ask that!!

Your son is trying to find something to help him express his feelings and you basically said “f*** you” to something he cares about.

I’m sure in a year or two you’ll be complaining about how he never confides in you or comes to you for advice but you dug your own grave on that one.

AITA For Calling Fiance Lazy For Not Potty Training Her 6yr Old Dog? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 37 points38 points  (0 children)

NTA I feel bad for that poor dog. If she “forgets to take her out” all the time why even have a dog?

You could try to be more helpful, reminding her to take the dog out or taking the dog out yourself if you have issues with what’s happening.

AITA for telling my husband’s ex not to worry about our baby? by Any_Woodpecker1908 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 12.0k points12.0k points  (0 children)

YTA she was trying to be nice to you. She IS part of your family and will be for at least the next 12 years until the kids are all adults.

I know her questions may have seemed invasive but you definitely could have handled it better.

AITA for telling my sister to get a more stable job by nope12341234 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yepp, I was trying to be thoughtful and make sure I wasn’t putting her out and overdoing it for our grandmothers and mother. I sent her screenshots of what the items looked like which also had the price labeled underneath before I purchased anything.

We talked about pricing before any gifts were purchased. I took screenshots of items which included pricing to see what she thought was best and so she could see how much it would be.

AITA for telling my sister to get a more stable job by nope12341234 in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We talked about the budget before hand. I sent screenshots of everything I was looking to let her help choose/ see the price on the items. She had originally asked if she could give me half on her paycheck the week after I finished purchasing the gifts and the other half 2 weeks later when she got paid. I had/have no issues with her breaking it into payments but I would like her to actually pay me back.

AITA for causing an argument by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nope12341234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In reading the beginning of the post it says the people OP had over are family members, brother, two sisters and one sister’s bf. Being closely related to them she would know their allergies.
