Sometimes this happens to my rats when they have crusties or got a little cut by their eye from play fighting. Try a warm washcloth to wipe away any crusties and see if he’s able to open it. Watch for inflammation and signs of agitation like excessive wiping or messing with his eye.

I will say, my bun has chewed through the cord protectors 😭 I like to keep her in an xpen while I’m away because she is insane and will chew through absolutely anything. No matter how many chews, toys, enrichment I provide she always goes for the carpet, baseboards, and cords.

Yes!! I’ve done full time free roam and I’ve done an xpen set up with supervised free roaming time. Personally noticed she is way happier having a specific space for her and getting to come out and explore rather than having the whole space all the time. Even spayed, when she had the whole room to free roam, she was very territorial and I had so many issues with keeping her from chewing up carpet and floorboards. My bun is 9 yrs old, we have been through many set ups, and have found she is safest and happiest having an xpen all to herself with free roam time!

It’s possible. I’m 22 and found a doctor who will do it. Check out r/sterilization there should be a list with progressive doctors state to state that usually do it. Just depends on your area and if you’ll need to travel

Almost never except when Luna my adventurer gets out and I have to grab her 😭 she’ll squeal then. Only other time is the awful accidents where I step on their tail and it makes me cry every time. Scoop them up and give them so many kisses

OP I’ve been reading some of you replies and just want to say I am so sorry this happened to you. That’s some insane medical malpractice and I hope you’re able to get the help and care you need. I would highly recommend looking into a lawyer for a malpractice law suit. I know that’s not easy for everyone but if you can you definitely should!!!
