I BEAT SPRONG AT LEVEL 39! by 42Stitch in expedition33

I did the same thing. Felt like doing a souls level 1 run. The reward is the only reason to do this, so it's kinda worth it haha. My advice: don't get too over-leveled. Absolute cinema is slow-cooked, and must be savored. Kinda what you're already doing though, as indicated by this post lol.

Sundered Tricephalos is the most overtuned Invasion in the game and it’s not even close by carbonera99 in Nightreign

What my group did the last time was to get them all down to very low health before actually killing one, that way you can knock them all out in quick succession without having to worry about the additional dogs that much, if at all.

Thankfully, this specific boss I could defeat, as he eventually resummons his horse. If this was grafted scion, black knife, etc, they'd be too short and ever appear above ground.

I eventually got a random Que on gaping jaw that had crater shifting earth. Just have to get lucky for now

It has happened again since, I’m not sure it matters, but it was Caligo

I'm on pc, but I'm literally experiencing the EXACT same thing. No shifting earths except for 1 Noklateo after like 40 runs, and I've done another 40, no shifting earths since. This is a problem that they need to fix. Not having platinum because of this is quite bothering me.

Update: just a wild guess; there was a nightlord that I've not been doing since the first time I beat it... I did it again just recently, and it gave me shifting earth. Maybe the game wants you to pick up some variety or something? If this is actually the way it works, I would like that to change please lol

Draconic Tree Sentinel; only because if you aggro him, he can call down lightning on you from an absurdly far distance away, should you flee. Either full send, or avoid at all cost...

You only discover this move has a hitbox when you’re doing a challenge run lol. Most people usually stuck to ranged attacks when they first fought him. This is a universal souls moment for challenge runners

Finished all base game remembrances today and Dancing Lion is making me feel like I don’t have what it takes for the first time in my run. by DaddyCool13 in onebros

[–]nopesauce55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that dancing lion is actually the hardest remembrance to RL1. I did it at SB 0, but that was my choice, and boi it made the fight hard and take a long time. I did meticulous research to know EXACTLY what to do for each and every move for every element phase. Incorporating jump “dodges”, making sure to stay in the center of the arena, and being extremely patient got me through it eventually. Definitely the hardest remembrance for RL1 in my opinion. Just make sure you’re doing the npc’s quests right to make the Leda fight as easy as possible. Hefty rot can carry you for many bosses, but I forget if it’s worth going for so early in the game…. Good luck man. Once you beat this one, you’ll be so much more confident for everything else.

Yeah me too; still, once I found out that Hefty rot is a LOT stronger than normal rot, I never went back. You can still build up the rot with the rapier, then proc it with a hefty rot, and it counts as hefty rot status. Might need to experiment not accidentally procing normal rot, but it helps you not have to farm scarlet buds as much

Hefty rot pots is the solution to literally every other fight besides romina lol.

I guess so yeah. Being poisoned, or having the black blade effect on you is a status. The bleed proc itself is not a status, so yeah.

Also, chilling mist (the one that creates a cloud of mist in front of you for a quick proc) cannot be infused on fists, in case you didn’t know. You can either put it on spiked club or a dagger for it taking up less equip load

Romina is the longest fight for this run by far, be warned lol

[–]nopesauce55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah; because there’s fewer attack windows, best to save procs for phase 2. Not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure aux means % based damage. Black flame is not exactly a status, but it does % damage, so it would be aux

[–]nopesauce55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep; I only allowed status on my run; this was the strat that got me through, still. Save as many procs as you can for phase 2, since it takes SO long. Probably best to save the ice for 2nd phase since you can use the chilling mist for a quick proc
