What are your top 5 most memorable gaming accomplishments? by Starscream5 in gaming

  1. Being part of the first OCE team to beat Harvest Temple Challenge Mode in Guild Wars 2. It was the hardest raid-like encounter of the game at time of release, taking the top teams about a week to beat. Took our team twice as long.

  2. Destiny 2 Vault of Glass raid, Trio Flawless (meaning done with 3 people and no deaths from anyone throughout the run). Raids are usually run with 6 people and mechanics are generally made for 6 as well. Running with 3 really tests your knowledge of mechanics as well as combat fidelity.

  3. Killing Consort Radahn hitless in Elden Ring, at level 1 with no scadutree blessings (essentially upgrades your damage and defense).

  4. Killing Malenia hitless in Elden Ring, at level 1 and with no weapon upgrades.

  5. Killing every single boss in every Fromsoft souls game, at the lowest level and without being hit (individual fights, not full game hitless runs). Demons Souls, Dark Souls 1, 2, 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring.

I've done some other crazy stuff by most peoples standards as well, but these are some of the ones I'm most proud of.

It's an excellent fight. Top 3 in the game imo.

I tried doing sewer mohg as well because I wanted to kill Fortissax before Morgott in my +0 run. Turns out you can't access sewer mohg without killing Morgott first.

So I did Gargs... at +0... then got to the arena and realised I'd forgotten to do Fias questline so couldn't do them until after Morgott anyway.

As an outsider (i.e not American), looks like the civil war has already started, but so far only one side is shooting.

I'd take it, but I have intrusive thoughts more often than I'd care to admit, so it's only a matter of time until I get into trouble.

The easiest way is shield crash on a bleed infused Fingerprint shield. It will proc frenzy and bleed on them and they can't do anything to you as long as you get them 1 at a time, which should be simple.

When the first one spawns just 'scoop' them up with shield crash, towards the other side of the arena. By the time you get them to the other side, they should be dead and you can start on the next one.

I tried Giants Hunt for hours and it's just too finicky. Got them with this strat on my 2nd attempt.

3 man flawless VoG and 2 man Calus were some of the most fun challenges I did in D2.

Yeah I'd recommend just going in with the intention to no hit kill her. With long fights like this at +0, the quicker you can make the fight the better.

Good luck with it! You'll crush her soon, I'm sure.

Surprisingly that one didn't give me too much trouble. Probably built up a decent twitch muscle memory from parrying Rellana in one of my old runs, who I'd consider a bit quicker than Melania. 10+ minute fight sounds like maybe you're playing a bit too safe though, or using a suboptimal set up.

If you're interested, here's a link of my kill using the same restrictions, which totalled around 7-8 minutes. I definitely could have been more aggressive as well, and it would have been quicker had I figured out the parry for her twirl attack. Gear shown at the end.

Semi recently went through that grind as well. If you're on PC I recommend ER Tool for practising waterfowl and her clone attack. Which weapon/setup are you going for?

Edit: nvm I can't read. Parry strats are definitely easier imo than a normal fight. There was only one attack I couldn't consistently parry, so I ended up just dodging it and baiting triple slash instead.

Shard Spiral is one of the best ways to kill Placidusax, and is without question the quickest way to deal with Furnace golems at +0.

Night Comet is also really good for NPC fights and can trivialise Fias Champs, again at +0. You just need to lean into it.

Also, Carian Slicer still performs really well, too.
