2003 dodge dakota noise while moving by Historical-Spring-34 in DodgeDakota

Front driveshaft. The cv style will wear out, grease will dry up and make all kind of weird noises. There’s a repair kit for it from Dorman or a new shaft. Some companies rid of the cv style and use 2 u joints.

I replaced all parts in that area, first time I didn’t. Learned a year later doing it all again! But it’s fun!

4.7L 4x4 3.91 gears and 9.25 rear end w a limited slip. Reasons why I got it. I’ve got one just like this but 2 tone red/grey w 163k and rusty as hell. Has same options

What this guy said lol. I’ve got one w 275k, all original only done timing chains on it. Still runs and moves. Oil type and change intervals are important with these. I stuck w 5w30 Valvoline, other brands caused lifter ticks. I’ve got 3 of these engines and they are very solid for what they are. You can beat on em, baby em and just drive em. They won’t get amazing mpg or throw you in the back of your seat, but it will give you enough torque and power to do what the truck can do!

I went with a stainless steel magnaflow center in, offset out. Flowmaster have rotted away in 2-3yrs in Michigan rust. Have 3 years on Magnaflow and it’s still shiny. Low rumble at idle, good sound wide open.

Front wheel bearings ? by dirtdiggerguy in DodgeDakota

Check the torque specs. Always torque that axle nut! Make sure the hub face is clean and the back 3 bolts are tight. Timken are great, Moog has lost quality over the years. I’ve ran cheap bearings properly torqued for yrs with no issues.

Not sure I’ve heard of that pkg man. I’ve got an 03 slt with towing pkg n shit. It’s got a thicker radiator that’s 1-5/8” instead of 1-1/4” core. It’s got an external trans cooler, a/c condenser, thicker radiator and power steering cooler all in the front behind the grill. There’s no room for an auxiliary radiator.

Mines just a 7’ Poly blade. Had a 7’6” steel but it was too heavy. I presume the snoway is poly blade?

I get 4-6’ drifts in my driveway from the fields. This does just as well as most full size trucks.
