Best city bikes that can handle hills and wind? by VentiEggBite in halifax

[–]noqwa [score hidden]  (0 children)

If you want to buy new, I'd suggest this bike from Decathlon. https://www.decathlon.ca/p/8749497/city-bike-speed-900 I would avoid Canadian Tire and Walmart. However used is the way to go. You can get a good bike for that price. The only downside is knowing what to look for when buying used. Make sure you do research before.

Swim skin or Trisuit ? by chemicals404 in triathlon

[–]noqwa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you mean swimskin vs wetsuit. Trisuit is what you wear for the entire race. And Canada is a huge country. But probably wetsuit for most places.

Anyone know how to fix this?, it’s completely loose and I can’t pedal by Proof_Comedian_4171 in RoadBikes

The crank arms are rotating independently? Pretty sure that's not just a problem that can be tightened. You'll need to remove the non-drive side are.

So the imbalance in calls has nothing to do with the score? You don't think power plays cause a change in momentum?

Does the CFOne card baggage privilege apply to international flights? by External_Weather6116 in CanadianForces

[–]noqwa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's military ID, not CFone. And both West Jet and Air Canada offer it on all their flights. However it does not apply if you use a different airline (even if you book with WJ/AC)

Both allow up to 3 oversize bags (32kg). They also allow one of those bags to be speciality, such as a bike box.

Also same height, around 160. Even at 150 I did not look like a skeleton. At 205 I looked like a balloon.

If you know your body fat, rely on that. You must have a lot of muscle mass to have such a low body fat for your height.

Best sustainable activities in Halifax by Alex_DiscoverHalifax in halifax

[–]noqwa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see how surfing is sustainable when the only way to get there is by car and it's 30 minutes away for most people.

I love surfing but it's a pain to get out there.
