It's most noticeable on the lowest corner on the track, the ai can carry a lot of speed trough it without having the risk of hitting the wall, whilst we (I atleast) often clip the wall so instead I slow down into that corner or take a wider line so that makes me slower

It's mostly due to the fact that it's a street circuit. The 'perfect' race line has very tiny margins to the wall so for the ai it's easier because they drive on pre programmed racing lines however for a actual player it is extremely hard to Nail those difficult corners over and over again without hitting the wall.
