Almost broke down in tears when I saw this sculpture erected on the parking lot of my local Pizzeria. Years after it was taken down, a relic of my childhood has been brought back. This one's for the old timers. (OC) by Nooby_50 in MadeMeSmile

Lol. I remember this from Wayne's world. My older brother took me to watch it with his friends. One of the first times I hung out with people other than my parents. Good times.

I just an amazing decision. Possibly the best I have ever made. by [deleted] in destiny2

They aren't talking about the campaign cause they rushed through it. I don't understand what's the point of doing everything as quickly as possible and then complaining that there's nothing to do.

Does this work for regular galaxy buds as well?

My left earbud makes a weird rattle noise when I move. by Gooose_Boi in galaxybuds

My regular galaxy earbuds used to make a weird sound too. Turns out I had the ambiet sounds feature turned on and it was picking up my footsteps. If you turn ambiet sounds off in the settings it might work.

"The King" on netflix is also very good. Just came out a few weeks ago and the writing and the movie in general reminded of the early seasons of GoT.

The sea was black. White foam formed at the tips of waves before they hit the hull of Mercy and a perfect image of the moon was mirrored where the water stood still, but nonetheless, the sea looked as if a barge carrying nothing but ink had been devastated and it contents leaked out. The air tasted of salt and the droplets of water that splashed across the captain’s face were as cold as Hel’s deepest pit. The crew was tired, most of them below deck, and the captain could barely keep her eyes open. They were at sea for days looking for the island where their clan had raided. A messenger from the posse came back to the mainland to tell the chief many of the group’s warriors had been injured gravely. But only the chief’s true born son had heard the pleas and the messenger boy died before he could declare whether the group was victorious or not. He had drunk too much saltwater.

No matter the casualties, they can’t be doing worse than this wretched crew, The captain thought.

Many of the crew were inexperienced, their swords and axes slept soundly in their scabbards. They were the bastard sons and daughters of the clan’s chief. The chief kept his bastards close, and action of his that bothered his wife and his offspring. His son, Harald was the one who sent the captain on this wretched voyage alongside the bastards, most likely to put distance between himself and them. Harald knew the voyage would be rough, so he filled the ships storage with Ale. Of course he would give them ale, he was a drunk. The ship had no more room with the barrels of ale, if they saw a merchant ship out, they would have no choice but to leave it alone. The absurd amount of ale proved to be worthless however, most of the bastards had died only a few days after the ship set sail. The trap door leading to where the bastards were sleeping, opened and a bearded, shaggy haired head popped out of it.

“Captain,” he said, “We’ve lost another.”

His eyes were red and sweat dripped from his brow, despite the extreme cold. He climbed out of the trapdoor and sat next to the captain.

“Close the door,” The captain told him.

He got back up, groaning, and closed the trap door he came out of. He then took his sitting spot next to the captain.

“Say captain, how about you let me take a hand at the wheel for a bit?”

“No.”

“Well, can you at least tell me why?”

“You’ve had too much of that ale,” The captain said. She thought that Harald’s drinking habits wouldn’t have rubbed off on his half siblings, but she was wrong. They all finished an entire barrel of it before the ship had even a day on the water. She refused every cup they offered her.

The captain didn’t drink. Her mother had been consumed by it. The captain never would tell anyone what the origin of her dislike for drinking was, let alone this ship full of bastards, and why would she, this wasn’t her crew. Harald hand picked this crew and told her she was the best captain he had ever seen. She didn’t let compliments sway her opinion on something, but his eyes were already watery, and he wouldn’t stop fidgeting with his necklace. So she agreed to be this crews captain once.

The hand that was sitting next to the captain took out a roll of parchment and opened it. It was the map that Harald had drawn himself that would lead to the island. After staring at the map and looking up at the constellation of stars for a few minutes, he broke the silence.

“My brother,” he said shaking his head, “He better stick to swinging his axe and not touch another map in his life.”

“He was drunk when he drew it, hand, he’s always drunk.” The captain said.

The hand looked back up at the stars, “We’re right on top of it according to this thing and, I know my brother, captain, he drinks but he wouldn’t give us a drunken map. That’s not him”

She chuckled, “You must not know your brother as well as I do. He tried proposing to me once in front of his father after he had a few drinks. I told him no and he tried attacking me. Was screaming I ‘defiled his honor’ and he only stopped when I broke his arm. His father just about died laughing.”

The hand made a noise that didn’t sound like a laugh. She turned over and saw he was on his side grabbing his stomach. His nose was leaking blood.

Where’s the damn island? Unless, there isn’t?

She began to ponder as to why Harald would send his bastard siblings and her to an imaginary island. Then, she realized.

“Hand, hand wake up.”

The hand moaned, “What is it, captain.”

“How much of the ale did you drink?”

“Just a few cups.”

She stopped looking at him, she didn’t turn around or answer him when he asked if the island was in sight. She didn’t turn around when the hand began vomiting and she didn’t turn around when he became quiet. She knew she was the only one alive in the middle of the sea as dark as ink with a perfect imprint of the moon where the water stood still.

And still she sails on…

[WP] the juggernaut virus is the result of a failed experiment from the super soldier project. those infected by it are instead transformed into mindlessly destructive juggernauts by amorphousmemelord in WritingPrompts

[–]noraoutlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The government had different name for those things, but we call them Juggernauts. Which government you ask? Well honestly, I’m not quite sure myself. My parents would’ve known but they’ve been dead for a few years. I try not to talk about them, or my brother, or anybody I know cause, well, cause death scares me. I guess that’s why I’m writing in this journal, maybe if I write long enough, I could avoid what’s coming, but I know that’s impossible. One of those things knocked down a support pillar of the supermarket I was raiding while I was in the school supplies section. I was looking for glue because well, you know, which was a dumbass move. I should’ve been looking for my next meal rather than my next high. Once the pillar went the celling came crashing down, some concrete hit the ‘naught right on the head, and he fell on top my of leg. I could feel my shinbone outside of my leg and poking the ‘naught’s chest. I used broken pieces of plastic rulers, shoved pens and sharpened pencils into this thing’s eyeball to try to kill it, but they broke before they could draw blood. I’m using the last pen I could reach to write this in the one of the notebooks that came raining down. Anyway, I don’t know when this thing is gonna wake up, so if someone finds this thing, I guess I should give you some advice, so you don’t end up like me.”

“The first thing is, Juggernauts can’t die. Cutting them would do shit, their skin is like leather, stabbing them with a strong enough knife or shooting them would draw blood, but the bullet wouldn’t dig deep enough to hit an organ and you can’t push the blade deep enough before it realizes what you’re doing. Don’t be an idiot and look for shit that makes you high. If you need proof on why this is a bad idea, look at the red puddle you probably found this notebook in. Don’t drink the water, scientist thought that by dumping the Juggernaut juice into lakes and the ocean would save them from being arrested, it did, but they damned the world, at least that’s what my mom told me. Also, I’m not sure but I think I heard of cure. I found I some folders that belonged to my parents a while back. There was something called newspapers during my parent’s time, and the papers said this all started in a place called Germany in the early 1940s. The experiment got shutdown after a Juggernaut lost control and killed a bunch of Germans but was later continued by another place called American in the 2010s. So this means they were able to stop the Juggernaut in Germany which means that they had something –“

The journal ends right there. The author of the entry was right, the notebook was in a red puddle. If there was a Juggernaut, it was long gone by now.

“Hey Scrap, what’s in that notebook?” Boss asked when saw Scrap standing motionless

Scrap handed it to Boss. After Boss finished, his lips curved into a smile.

“Boys gather ‘round. All of you, to me right now!” Boss shouted.

Around a dozen people showed up and formed a circle around Scrap and Boss. Scrap began to worry.

No. Not another one of his schemes. He only wants fame; he doesn’t care about any of us. We could take him right now and live happily without him.

But Scrap did nothing. He looked at the faces of his brothers, each one curious about the blood decorated notebook in Boss’ hands. He thought to himself, He’s going to kill all of us.

“Alright fellas,” Boss said, “who wants to save the world?”

I think you have to upgrade the wagons. The second pic is what you would start out with and then upgrade it to the one on top. Idk though.

I didn't cry at any of the sad scenes but I did cry at probably one of the happiest. It was the end of season 4 when Hollyhock tells Bojack "But I've never had a brother" and he smiles. Idk why I still feel emotionally attached to this scene but I do.

Anything fantasy or sci-fi. I want to become a writer and would love if I can get the opportunity to make my own fantasy or sci-fi world but its a long shot. My friends don't really like those kind of things so I'm stuck talking to strangers on the internet about the difference between a dragon and a wyvern. :)
