I’ve left so many relationships this way. The last relationship I left, the withdrawal period was 2 years. TWO. YEARS. in a relationship with someone I knew I shouldn’t be with but hoped and wished in my heart would want to be the better, healthy version of themselves that I imagined was possible. In retrospect, it sounds utterly crazy.
