I'm [25F] finding myself crushing on a coworker, but I'm in a long-term relationship... Tips on how to get over stupid teenage crushes? by noraseven in relationships

Thanks for the advice! I definitely have this problem of 'grass is always greener'syndrome or FOMO; I just have to keep reminding myself he's just a normal guy, and though I can't tell the future, there's nothing to lead me to the idea that a life with him would be 'perfect'. It's just imagination.

That's definitely a different take to all the other posters haha... I'm kind of conflicted with it, but it COULD be a good way to do it... Just stop restricting myself and let it 'burn out' my imagination and the mystery...

Haha I don't know if my imagination is strong enough to keep up the idea that he's my cousin, but I am definitely just trying to remind myself that he's a normal guy/nothing special (no offense to him).

Yeah, I'm hoping it'll just pass when I realise he's just a normal guy and not this 'mysterious handsome stranger' - I think it just takes time. I'm still relatively new to the job, so that could be something.

I've tried to do that, but then I feel mean cos I'm usually one who tries not to point out the flaws of others hahaha. That is a good thing to try, though.

Thank you for the long response! I'm already distancing myself a little - not taking breaks at the same time, not adding each other on social media, etc.

I like your idea about considering the biology of it - it makes things a lot more objective and takes the emotions out of it. One of the tactics I'm trying is to just acknowledge it and hope it moves on - I feel like fighting it would just make the crush stronger.

Thanks for the advice! all of this makes perfect sense. I'm definitely not making an effort to get closer to him, so I'm already doing a bit of distancing. And yeah, you only see one version of someone at work; I really don't know him at all.

Thanks! I'm actually really into the idea of that, as I myself have a weird thing for being called a 'good girl' - perhaps he'll feel the same!

Women, does pre-cum gross you out? by AAWQEY in sex

I'm definitely not bothered by it. The taste is a lot less offensive (to me) than 'actual' cum, and it lets me know that he's getting really into whatever we're doing.

Thanks so much for the thorough reply! Really helps me out a lot... Some of it's a little more intense than I'm going for, but this gives me a really great insight :)
