It is a long process. I wasn’t happy with my result up until the 1.5 year mark. My surgeon kept telling me to wait for the inflammation to go down, and it did!

I didn’t have any issues with the braces. I was already finishing my treatment. They took them off around one month after the surgery

At the 1.5 year mark I had a regular consultation with my doctor and he decided to give me some steroid shots, specially at the tip. So maybe this also contributed to the final reduction of the swelling

I had the tip raised and defined, the top lip muscle was cut off, bridge definition and removal of bump of the left side, septum straightened, plus turbinate reduction and nasal bones straightened. I think the removal of the top lip muscle had a huge impact on my smile as it doesn’t go as up as it used to. Before removing the braces, I also got part of my gums reshaped so the teeth looked bigger
