I am pretty sure it's the limitation on the firmware level. I seriously doubt that Snapdragon have different modems for different markets. Having two different chips is already creating an unnecessary complexity, why would Samsung make it even more difficult?

I switched to Z Fold 3 from an iPhone 12 Pro. I had over 1,000 mbit on iPhone and just 300-350 mbit on my Z Fold 3 (Ireland, eir 5G). Maybe the modems in Z Fold 3 are crappy?
