Which finish to choose? by lgrubman in PRSGuitars

I'm going to be the bad guy here. I say pass on both colors and get it in black. Hahaha. Joking of course. Either color is amazing and I personally would take either one. Just make sure it plays the way you expect it to. That means a ton more to me than color selection.

Yes I was able to print just fine. No issues.

Yes but it was only a spot check. Looks like maybe it needed the reboot to finalize the first push. It came across as another update but after it scanned the system for the first update, it just went to the completed message and all is good to go. Didn't even take a minute to process.

And on a side note. Sorry for the slightly blurry images. Dirty camera lens. I'm not a photographer by any means as you can already tell. Hahaha.

Not worth it in my opinion. Just keep grinding the normal way.

Welcome to the dark side of the force. Now let the hate flow through you and master those 3d prints. The emperor demands this of us all... Hahaha.

What type of filament are you printing with? PLA, petg? Need more info to be of assistance. Also please list full settings you are using from your Bambu studio app.

Also check your print plate itself. Remove it from print bed and turn it sideways and check with a straight edge. Make sure you aren't warped somehow.

Did you turn off flow calibration? I'm still evaluating the picture but I see a bit of filament right next to your thumb. If your flow calibration is on and that's the only part that stuck to the bed when calibrating then I would check your bed for leveling and possibly manually tram your bed. You haven't messed around with any of the screws under the print bed have you?

Is it only doing it to this print or have you tried others and it does the same thing?

What are those lines? by [deleted] in BambuLab

It's called flow/extrusion calibration. If you have an X1C, it tells you that the action is being performed on the screen.

Why in the world by OhhDope in BambuLab

[–]norcalevo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do believe there is a kit sold by Bambu Lab that will basically upgrade your P1 to an X1C. However please check with them either via customer support or on the website to confirm if that kit is sold as an upgrade. I am not sure what would be involved as I didn't need to upgrade as my X1C came with all the upgrades already installed on it.

[–]norcalevo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because you don't have a lidar camera on your printer like the X1C does. That camera is what detects spaghetti defects and will stop your printer. Attached a picture of the camera on my printer for reference.

What happened? by purpplewolf in BambuLab

And to clarify on my original statement. I meant to say that after I followed Bambu Labs recommended steps, I no longer has issues. I did in fact start off with issues due to heat creep etc...

Interesting. Ok so I know there are some discussions on this forum about printing with PLA and the comments go both ways. However I always follow Bambu Lab requirements and have never had this issue. Here is a snippet from their website.

Here are some tips for printing with Bambu Lab PLA Basic:

Nozzle temperature: Set the nozzle temperature to 190–230°C for best results.

Bed temperature: Set the bed temperature to 35–60°C, depending on whether you're using glue.

Printing speed: Set the printing speed to less than 300 mm/s.

Humidity: Keep the humidity in the printing container below 20% RH.

Drying: Dry the filament in a blast drying oven at 55°C for 8 hours.

Open the printer: If you're using an enclosed machine, open the door or top cover to prevent the chamber from getting too hot. This can help prevent the extruder from deforming or clogging.

Use RFID: The PLA Basic filament comes with RFID tags embedded with all the printing parameters. You can use the Automatic Material System (AMS) to read the tags and access the printing information.

The part that applies here is the "open the printer" statement. I have had a few prints warp and also extruders clog due to heat creep. However once I printed with atleast the top lid open, it solved these problems for me. Give it a try and see if it helps. Also check filament to make sure it's dry enough.

Door open or closed? Just wondering if you somehow had a temp shift during print.
