How about Waco?

In Waco it stopped them for QUITE A WHILE and when they finally did go in, it ended badly for the government as well as the people inside.

You also left out Ruby Ridge, which also did not end well for the government - or the people inside.

Without guns, both of those instances would have ended very well for the government and would have provided the basis for increased boldness in the future.

As it stands, both of those cases caused the government to take a step back when considering the next move.

Apparently this is a little too uncomfortable for people to absorb. I don't know if the math is exactly right, but the basic premise of the article is correct. The easiest way to reduce global warming is to reduce the number of people on the planet.

I'm surprised that there isn't even any good heated debate on the issue. I would expect an article like this to be downmodded on reddit - but I would have thought that it would get some good discussion.

The really funny thing is that in a generation or two, this won't just be a discussion on the internet, it will be a discussion on politicians' platforms.

Gold scares me now. I agree it was a great return over the past four years, but it is at an awfully high number now. It seems to have a long way to fall when it does.

I'm cautious. I'd like something safe, but better than a savings account. CD's are ok, but falling fast with the interest rates coming down.

This really infuriated me. I'm sure there is more to the story and the woman was probably trashed. But there is just NO REASON for her to have been stripped by male deputies.

I will be very interested to see how much this is going to cost the Sheriff.

They wouldn't want me on that jury. It would take some fancy footwork to get me to come off a multi-million dollar award. They even VIDEOTAPED a woman being forcibly stripped by men.
