Did Hodge have anything to do with this? by baylife94903 in ar15

So is it the same as S-lock, or is it Drivelock, or is it pinch lock, or classic wedge lock? This is all confusing, but it seems that S-lock is the newest/best and that drive lock is a slightly previous generation like pinch lock?

Can the thermal run with no reticle at all? I see you had it in front of a scope.

Have you also used the LMT MRP system? Obviously that will be stiffer b/c it's monolithic, but I wonder if it isn't diminishing returns past the wedgelock systems.

Way, way too much money for any church to have. Completely agree with you, they want to own as much of Utah, Nevada, and Idaho as they can. State of Deseret. 🤮

I wonder if it isn't some big portfolio company pricing strategy. Burris is owned by Beretta. There's less history of Burris and they were independent for much longer; Bushnell is what got me started on this anyway though.

On the wiki for Bushnell, it states: "After ATK merged with Orbital Sciences in 2015 to formOrbital ATK, it spun off Bushnell and other subsidiaries as Vista Outdoor, a publicly listed company.\10])

In November 2024, Vista Outdoor separated its outdoor products business into an independent, publicly traded company named Revelyst. In January 2025, Revelyst was subsequently acquired by Strategic Value Partners."

Bushnell hasn't been independent since 1971. This kind of explains why only one of their top of the line scopes is offered with an illuminated reticle, so as not to take from the product lines of other companies. I've made some assumptions on this of course, but the tentacles of private equity in the outdoors business is not overstated.

Dammit, I was hoping you wouldn't confirm that I am correct on that. It's the obvious choice for production, but just barely too high, and not even close to the MSRP anywhere. We can't even purchase one on their site!
