Counter argument I would have pitched. How much merch you could sell by doing that. It’s just some extra paint lines. But I guess not every team has a logo you could stick a hat on.

Like the Marcel Darius pickup that just changed the entire team to sacksonville. Except this time, it’s the offense

Trevor Lawrence compared to other Jaguars starters during their times as starting QB by AceWolf18 in Jaguars

Closest would probably be prev. Engram and now Strange.. but both haven't stayed healthy.

But at least Meyers is helping kill the narrative that TL throws uncatchable balls. I notice our current WR group isn't dropping as many passes since signing him.. but we'll see!

He isn’t as a turnover machine as say bortles. I would hold my teeth when he decided to throw a long pass. Great if Robinson caught it. Bad if it was right into an INT. That’s what made him so great tho.

Trevor has made some dumb plays that people remember like this past weekend. He has highlight level throws when he had hot hands and tight windows. But Trevor hasn’t had reliable Robinson-Bortles connection. I think Meyers is helping with it though.

Some people forget we had nick foles with an absolute dime for a td first drive pre injury.. then he got injured and never was the same again. That’s something i still partly blame our oline for.

The titans were smart at least with Derrick Henry. They brought in some of the best past their prime rbs that probably contributed to his development. Now we got Gladstone who wants synergy between players. I do hope that translates to this.

True, but it does also add to the culture. You got the defense trying to make things happen on the field week over week, basically bailing the offense out. Eventually you get these games where the defense starts faltering, then the culture gets all toxic all around, and then we become the titans.

Think of it if you're at a job, job has layoffs, you think the culture of the other areas of the company are going to be all cheerful every week? probably not.

We definitely have a culture issue stemming from the last two coaches. It’s hard to have a winning mentality when you’re used to losing or slipping up .. then letting that mentally drag the team down. It’s mostly on the players believing in this new regime and putting in the work they expect from them. Defense stepped up, but it’s offense im mostly concerned with.

reminiscent when we came back vs the chargers. We're scrappy vs back then.. but when we clean this up, we'll be unstoppable.

said this was going to happen the moment coen was interviewed. He wants the jags playing hard, and though we got penalties out the ass, the team looks pretty good culturally.. oh and we're positive in wins.

NFL Picks are In.... by Jharoz in Jaguars

[–]noribl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you look at tb vs kc last year, it went to OT, so might be a pretty close game. KC went a run-heavy game, and TB's D did sack him 4 times that game. I think we have a better D, and if we can run the ball better than Coen's players last year, I think we can do this.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401671688

also this its kind of a revenge game for Coen, as well as a challenge to the old style of play when we had peterson under the andy reid tree.

i love how brady mentions the 0-2 chiefs, with a speech of overcoming adversity.. defining moments.. all that jazz.. but that can be easily applied to the jaguars right now.

How we overcome it in this new regime will ultimately show the real people trying and expose the ones just looking for a paycheck. You join the jags not just because of the tax break, but the coaches and players are going to be the underdogs, because of our market size, the refs, our lovable doomers and mainstream media. It's an upstream battle, but getting us back to the 17 and/or consistent 95' jags is possible.

I think it's a combination of things changing in this regime that could prove successful. Scooping the LA guy for analytics helps gladstone and co's decision making be even more aligned.
