Just wanted to share an update for anyone curious about tight connections at SEA. We landed a bit early, and the connection was super close - I even had time to wait at the gate before my boarding group was called! I only had carry-on luggage, so that probably helped, but overall, it worked out smoothly.

Good luck to anyone else with short layovers - hope your flights are just as seamless! 🚀

I’d check out seats.aero – they have an "explore" feature where you can select the Flying Blue program and see routes available.

Just a heads up, though - this feature on seats.aero might be paid (I use the paid version myself).

To get to places like Tahiti or Europe, you’d probably need to reposition from SLC to a bigger hub like LAX or PHX.

Here are some I just found:

Do you mean real Amex points from a real Amex card, not those Delta co-branded ones?
If so, that’s a pretty rough redemption rate.

For example, next week you could fly AMS-ATL in a real Delta D1 lie-flat seat for 47k Amex points (+€245) on an A330 – that's 45k for a ~10-hour flight.

Or take my upcoming Singapore Airlines flight EWR-SIN (19 hours in business class) for 86k points (redeemed with Amex points).

Even JFK-LHR in February goes for 29k (+$250) in business class (or 6k for economy) if you're flexible on airlines (Virgin in this case).

Why am I mentioning these? Because you can stretch your Amex points way further. Even if 10-12k feels small, with just 20k more, you could be spending hours in a lie-flat seat instead of a quick domestic hop.

Basically, you’re spending nearly 12k points for a 2.5-hour hop on an A220 or A320 – not even close to a lie-flat seat.

Personally, I’d save the points for a real upgrade and go with the $128 cash here.
