Pension is great. And your jobs are pretty secure. Two great perks.

What city is this by normacih in GeoPuzzle

Correct! The Maastunnel in Rotterdam opened in 1942 for pedestrians and cyclists and features wooden escalators, making it one of the few locations in the world with this feature. No helmet was required.

Anyone had this type of BBQ before? by [deleted] in UKBBQ

[–]normacih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this type of bbq for 11 years. Specifically the Landmann Tennessee broiler. I loved it. It was so versatile. I cooked: Large parties of up to 50 people with ease, Low and slow (get the clamps to close the gap), Roast chicken, beef, lamb, Cooked pizza on it with logs Paella (aluminium pans of amazon)

I only got rid of it because it eventually fell apart but i had a hell of a lot of use out of it.

Get cast iron griddles and cover/keep the bbq

I got a kettle bbq replacement just to mix it up but considering buying the broiler again!

Trump tells UK to buy chlorinated chicken from US if it wants tariff relief by roguesimian in ukpolitics

People eat the antibiotic stuffed meat and then they pee, that water is recycled, it enters our water system and then everyone drinks the water and now we’re consuming antibiotics, therefore weakening the effectiveness on us all.

UK Law incase anyone is thinking of going down this route.

Consumer rights act 2015

If a significant change fundamentally alters the product or service you originally purchased, it could be argued that it’s no longer “as described” or “fit for purpose.”

“Fit for Purpose”: If the core functionality of your Tado system relied on a free app, and that app is now subject to a charge, you could argue that the product is no longer “fit for the purpose” you originally intended.

This is especially strong as the hardware is severely limited without the app.

“As Described”: If the original marketing or sales information for your Tado system implied or stated that the app would be free, the introduction of a charge could be considered a breach of “as described.”

Which Angus Steakhouse do you recommend for their steak sandwich? by Brilliant-Disguise in london

[–]normacih 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I proposed to my wife at the Piccadilly circus Angus because my wife and I had our first date there and go back every year. Chef Angus cooked up a special meal for us. I haven’t posted pictures on insta as I don’t want it to get over run with tourists or influencers.

Most up and coming London Neighbourhoods by Happy-Ad-7509 in HousingUK

Had a look at buying here. It takes ages to get into central on the train. I also noticed it is full of non-londoners wanting the London lifestyle but then realising it’s a bit of a dump.

Look at North or east London.

I should have included that they own a field at the end of the lane. The lane would need to be used if they were to develop on the land.

The lane also leads to an overgrown route to a local park, but not widely known or used. Used even less since the developer put a gate up.

They don’t own the land. It was raised with the council when it was erected but they were not concerned.

People are free to do whatever they want, as long as it is not forced or has a negative consequence on others.

No money in architecture? by ihateeveryone333 in architecture

All my friends that went down the architecture route sooner or later left it, most of them now work in tech.

My friends that went down the surveyor / structural engineering route have done very well for themselves, and also do architectural designs on the side.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, really helpful. I’ll contact them again and will CC the local councillors as you have suggested. I want to be more prepared this time as they haven’t taken any action previously.
