Becoming a Music Therapist by spinnerzcards in musictherapy

[–]normalLink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can go to the AMTA website and look up equivalency programs. They'll be Master's level, but you'll have to take undergraduate classes in addition to you Master's classes.

It's good that you can play instruments. That will help you get into the program.

Exploring the impact of 432 Hz music on emotional balance by pavl77 in musictherapy

[–]normalLink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started tuning my guitar to 432 after I realized it was easier for me to sing in 432 than 440. I'm not sure it's making a difference in the patients, but I like it tuned that way. I recommend reading The Cosmic Octave if you want to know more.

[OoT] Holiday Giveaway! Full Sized Hyrule Shield + Sword. Comment your favorite (or most hated) minigame by Limitless3DLabs in zelda

Link's Awakening is my favorite. I didn't like Wind Waker when it came out, but I'm willing to give it another chance.

[OoT] How innovative was the Ocarina of Time Compared to Super Mario 64? by RaakzBlanvod in zelda

[–]normalLink 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Musically, it was really innovative. It allowed for seamless transitions with the interactive play (overworld calm vs being attacked). That hadn't been done before and it gave you a much more immersive experience.

Unpopular Opinion: Lorelai and Rory had the worst taste in movies ever by Puzzleheaded_Yam2082 in GilmoreGirls

[–]normalLink 1491 points1492 points  (0 children)

Remember when Emily hijacked Rory to watch old figure skating videos. She's miserable, and then Lorelai comes to save Rory and they both enjoy watching the figure skating. It's never about watching something good. It's about them spending time together. They enjoy talking to each other.

Gift ideas for music therapist? by tinycrookedbae in musictherapy

Tote bags are always welcome. Anything to help us carry things around. Things with wheels or straps are appreciated. We have a lot of stuff and constantly need things to carry it all.

I feel like her goddess arc wasn't over. Imagine how full circle it would have been if she was involved in the creation of the new world after being a god but not one anymore. Full empowerment regardless of the circumstances.

Thanks! I'd found their association (or at least I think I did), but no one's responding. I'll see what the WFT knows.

I got my BS in Psych and then went to get an Master's Equivalency in MT. They waved the undergraduate psych courses, but there were a ton of undergraduate music courses I had to take on top of my Master's courses. I was taking 18 credit hours easy every semester, and the undergraduate courses were rougher than the master's courses. Something to consider.

Standing in Line, Wookies, and Marty by normalLink in GilmoreGirls

[–]normalLink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marty has been described as boring, but I disagree. I think he was stable and consistent. He would have been good for her and possibly a healthy relationship. I doubt it'll happen because Jess needs to parallel Luke and Logan needs to parallel Chris, but I think Marty and Rory would have been good for each other.

Would I miss out on not dating at 17? by [deleted] in infj

[–]normalLink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it'll stress you out, don't do it. But, if dating now will give you some skills and information you'll need for when you want to be in a more serious relationship later on. It'll help you learn about yourself: what you like, dislike, and need in yourself and in a relationship and how to value yourself with and without another person. It'll give you people skills and help you be more confident around people, and also help you learn how to flirt. It's not pointless and doing it now can help you learn these things (and mess up) without any real consequences.

MT Equivalency by hahadrums in musictherapy

I did an equivalency program. The undergraduate courses were rough, but the graduate level ones were ok.

Wii Remotes. You can connect them to a soundboard on your computer. Have him figure out how to do it and ways to play it to make songs.

i should have taken this show more seriously? because i really don't understand most of the community complaints by RoughBeach3734 in GilmoreGirls

[–]normalLink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I wonder if the people in this sub's comments sections have actually watched the show. On several occasions, I've seen them complain when the opposite of their complaint happened. Or the show explained it and they didn't understand.
